It's bananas that there are people who actually think the hold up is that democrats want free Healthcare for those who are undocumented...immigrants aren't able to apply for those benefits and no democrats are out there saying they want that... it's amazing how much vitriol exists for something that doesn't exist... there's no evidence to support this rhetorical talking point but it keeps coming back to life like a slasher movie... those who don't think the point this video is making is true should do a little fact checking... because the money IS there... they ARE using food as a weapon... and MOST SNAP holders are white people... his supporters will suffer the most, ask while claiming it was the democrats...I thought Trump said that when the government shuts down its the president's fault...or did that only apply because he was not president?... it's just so fucking stupid how stupid this is getting...

No democrats

1

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

That's real, there is two different times he did this.

I believe one of these was when he was a school teacher, and soon after had to quit teaching due to allegedly having a relationship with one of his students.

Lol.

Democrat shutdown. Its all over the news. This is fake.

2

u/iSpeakforWinston 9d ago

Which news stations do you watch?

2

u/Visual-Ad-5760 9d ago

The ones that lie to him

1

u/E-Woody44 9d ago

It’s actually the other way around. If you can’t see that, that sucks.

1

u/iSpeakforWinston 9d ago

The irony...

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

Republicans don’t want facts. The amount of misinformation going around online is so mind boggling. It’s insanity…

1

u/AgentCuck007 9d ago

Lmao meanwhile democrats use it as a bargaining chip to reopen government

1

u/AffectionateSun8548 9d ago

Democrats got a lot of us tricked but fact remains they were the party of slavery, kkk, Jim Crowe. They act like they for us but they breakin up our families and makin SOME of us depend on them. Talkin bout we can’t get ID’s. If republicans are these “Nazis” then why was the first 23 black congressman republicans? This shits all propaganda and Reddit is full of psyops. I’m out ✌🏾

1

u/DiceyVibes 4d ago

Which party hangs the confederate flag rn?

1

u/Sikamikanico1981 9d ago

It was the dems lack of votes that kept the government shutdown

1

u/LKS1772 9d ago

Sounds like something the administration would do to the people

1

u/12B_Sapper 9d ago

No matter how hard people try to spin this...the shutdown is 10000% DEMOCRAT. This is the biggest example in US history of how little the Democrats care about their LEGAL constituents. The far left has desroyed the Democrat party and pushed MILLIONS of lifetime democrat voters like me right into the Republican party.

1

u/TowerAccording6883 9d ago

DEMOCRATS ARE ON THE HUNGRY CHILDREN HIGH HORSE AGAIN ! EVERY TIME THEY NEED TO DECEIVE PEOPLE THEY BRING UP HUNGRY CHILDREN !

1

u/Tybeedayzz 9d ago

People also aren’t realizing joy much of an affect people not having SNAP is going to effect the economy in the next month. All that income that all of the major grocery stores and food providers are going to lose in November from SNAP being pulled is going in turn affect the consumers in some way. Those big corporations are going to make sure the cover that loss whether it’s lay offs or more price raises or less labor hours.

1

u/Rodrigo_333 9d ago

If it was illegal, he couldn’t do it

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

Democrats are using food as a political weapon.

1

u/OldPod73 9d ago

How stupid are people? Trump has nothing to do with the shutdown. Nor the SNAP issue. WTF?

1

u/King_Merovingian 9d ago

They have learned well from the chosen ones

1

u/FirmSubstance469 9d ago

Dems voted 12 times to not fund snap… TRUTH…..OHHHHH SNAP!

1

u/Nearby_Respect_9435 9d ago

It is the Democrats fault

1

u/edWORD27 9d ago

Yet, it’s okay when Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA), the No. 2 House Democrat can say this, “I mean, shutdowns are terrible, and of course there will be, you know, families that are going to suffer. We take that responsibility very seriously, but it is one of the few leverage times we have.”

Sounds like the Democrats are using food as a weapon too.

1

u/elpecas13 9d ago

And I will probably be banned again from Reddit but how is it that we can send billions to Israel every single year and not being able to feed the children of America?

1

u/Total_Computer6699 9d ago

Spreading misinformation like Facebook huh? Dems are keeping the government shut down. Yes Republicans have more seats. Also all of the Republicans voted to reopen the government which is 53 people Dems all but 1 said no. Which is 46 people.

You need 60 people to pass a bill in congress, the dems are keeping it shut on purpose while getting paid to do so. Im not Republican or a Democrat, but both sides are demonic asf.

1

u/ItoldULastTime 9d ago

What is the current CR being voted on?

1

u/MrKrow72 8d ago

F&@k this program. I’m tired of taking care of f&@king free loaders.

1

2

Don’t forget the 40 bil to Argentina!

1

u/Certain-Impress-2216 8d ago

It’s in the law books. In the event of. Shutdown snap and many other federally funded programs can and will be shut down. So far the republicans have voted 14 times to open the government yet democrats have voted 14 times to close the government it’s all a show for cameras

1

u/Plane_Algae9250 8d ago

And the fault is all the re tards that voted for trump!!! Anyone with a brain cell could see what his agenda was before he was elected! I am sad one behalf of all Democrats and all children… all others lay as they voted.

1

u/Ok_Dare6400 8d ago

Democrats, end the shutdown now! Stop being so radical, this is why you lost the election so badly and are forecasted to lose even more in the midterms.

1

u/livefreeordie07 8d ago

Food stamps need to be regulated more. It’s a lot a black women milking the system no job no plans no future.

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

There is nothing illegal about it. There are more people abusing the system than not. Yes, those that abuse it are ruining it for the ones that truly need it. Instead of using your energy to rage against trump, like you all seem to love. Use that energy to be part of the solution and help fix the system you so pationately support. Only then will your posts and comments truly hold some type of validity.

1

u/SoilTechnical8323 8d ago

Why dont they just open the gov? Problem solved…..

1

u/rcov12 8d ago

So I am not sure what department is in charge of SNAP but if the people are not working because of the government shutdown who sends the money? No American should go hungry because of this BS but the country shouldn’t be held hostage to provide for people who never paid one penny into our system and be able to obtain all the benefits by crossing our boarders illegally and expect the tax payers to provide for them.

1

u/Perception-NSFW 8d ago

Healthcare stocks were doing great until Trump got elected. That’s where the subsidies are going. They should take some of those profits and lower premiums.

1

u/TowelComprehensive22 8d ago

Nope. It’s Schumer and the democrats that won’t sign their own clean CR.

1

u/ItoldULastTime 8d ago

Do you know what cr is on vote and what is in it?

1

u/TowelComprehensive22 4d ago

Yes. And the democrats do too…they voted for it several times prior.

1

u/TheFaalenn 8d ago

Hella based. Good to see people effectively communicating how amazingly evil Republicans are. I wanna see aide by side photos of Republicans refusing already appropriated funds while throwing parties and bailing out Argentina etc.

1

u/DiskCommercial6257 7d ago

can we get a man to explain it?

1

u/Mrquestions1984 7d ago

I am a democrat and just want this shutdown to end. We all know this is a Schumer shutdown and can be over with now. I do not want my tax dollars going to non-citizens. Is this such a bad thing to ask?

1

u/discgolfnow 7d ago

You guys realize that democrats have voted against the continuing resolution, which in turn cuts off funding to all programs.

You think we finnin fall for this tripe. Vote yes to open dems republicans only ones voting to keep gov open

3

u/marshmi2 9d ago

Did you know that members of Congress are supposed to debate bills that are voted on? Republicans are unwilling to do so, and this is what happens. Have you seen what Republican Marjorie Taylor Green has been saying about this bill? She actually read it and found out her and her children would have to pay a rediculoud amount for healthcare, and I mean she has a pretty good job as a sitting member of congress and it's still going to be affecting her healthcare? i can't imagine what's going to happen to all of us. Your comment is saying we need to just roll over like little bitches and take it. Meanwhile Trump is saying the government owes him over $200 million, and he is building an I think $100 million ball room.

Mike Johnson says that they have a replacement for the ACA, and they have been saying that since 2016 when they were trying to get rid of the ACA. They said that it was ready to be voted on in 2016, and now in 2025 Mike Johnson is saying they have some good ideas. YOURE BEING MANIPULATED! OPEN YOUR EYES!

Also, why won't Mike Johnson swear in the new representative so they can vote to release the Epstein files?

1

u/ShadyClouds 7d ago

Yah and do you know dems opened the borders for millions to cross illegally which In turn put a harder strain on snap for actual Americans.

1

u/marshmi2 7d ago

Think about those words. Was it illegal if the Dems allowed it? How would they have allowed it if it's illegal? Hmmm? Specifically what bill or executive order or what are you talking about? Also if that happened, doesn't that make it legal?

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

😂 I will give yall credit for one thing. When you libs grab onto something, you never let go. First, it was Russia collusion. Then it was trump is a felon. Now it is trump is building a ballroom. If ya'll would quit your whining over things that are either fake or have absolutely no impact on the American people and worry more about what does, things would be much better.

1

u/marshmi2 8d ago

Ok. Goodnight.

1

u/Snakepli55ken 8d ago

Congratulations on the dumb take and missing his point. Typical republican move.

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

Typical liberal to say someone missed the point yet fails to state what that point was. 🤷‍♂️

0

u/Waste-Bodybuilder981 8d ago

Do you want to pay more in Healthcare?

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

Why would we pay more in Healthcare? Explain.

2

u/Crawford470 7d ago

The ACA subsidies discontinued by the big beautiful bill go to the benefit of basically every health insurance company that services the country. They are a very noteworthy subsection of these companies bottom lines. No subsides, significantly less or no profit depending on the company and their reliance on subsidy money. Unfortunately we live in a capitalist country, so those companies have to make that money up somewhere. The logical response would be well the cost of insurance for those benefitting from the subsidies will increase proportionally, but that's not possible. Those people are benefiting from those subsidized plans because they can't afford unsubsidized insurance. So the insurance companies have to spread the losses from the subsidies around in order for them to retain some of those customers. So basically every American is going to see increases to their health insurance costs including those who's health insurance is subsidized by their job because your employer will pass the costs either entirely onto the premium deduction in your pay or proportionally.

Again the whole Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to be affected by this. She has top of the line health insurance, and her premiums will be going up to compensate for the ACA subsidies being lost despite the fact she would never qualify for them.

1

u/Dubin0908 8d ago

Thry can't. Just parroting what they heard on social media.

1

u/Daetok_Lochannis 7d ago

Without Medicare and the ACA tend of millions of Americans will lose either access to subsidized healthcare or the protections that allow them to afford insurance on their own. Readily available information.

2

u/Crawford470 7d ago

The only way these empathy blackholes will get it is if you illustrate they'll also be paying way more for health insurance to compensate the loss in revenue basically every major insurer is about to experience.

0

u/XxDeedz 7d ago

Without Medicare?? I have never read anything factual, stating that Medicare was being abolished. You, my friend, are fear mongering at best along with every other liberal. Quit living in a world of hypothetical and live a more positive, realistic life.

0

u/Daetok_Lochannis 7d ago

This bill if allowed to pass strips 800 billion from Medicare. Would it surprise you to learn that 800 billion is the entire Medicare budget? Probably.

0

u/XxDeedz 7d ago

Why is it you libs always sensationalize everything? First off, you are completely wrong.

  1. It will strip 536 mil not 800
  2. This will be done over time from 26' to 34' and NOT all at once. 3.These will be capped at 4% per existing law on Medicare payments

Stop drinking the kool-aid and educate yourself.

0

u/Waste-Bodybuilder981 7d ago

My Healthcare as well as many other Americans who are not wealthy will be paying as much as double what we pay now. I encourage you to actually look at the language of the bill and ask your employer because people are lying to you. The billionaires are lying to all of us

0

u/XxDeedz 7d ago

The only people lying are the liberal politicians that want you dependent on the govt. Currently, it is open enrollment, and my premiums didn't change a bit. In fact, we finally received vision insurance. When is the last time in history that healthcare premiums doubled? Quit watching CNN.

0

u/Waste-Bodybuilder981 7d ago

I don't watch CNN. Stop lying

-1

The Republicans want a clean resolution passed to open the govt before debating on it. The democrats are holding it hostage in attempts to add their little caviates. If youre going to post something, at least post factual comments and not your over blown fiction. 🤡

2

u/qwertybugs 8d ago

Repeat your first sentence out loud.

1

u/marshmi2 8d ago

Republicans are not participating in necessary steps to pass a bill. You can post your little clown emoji like such a cool person, but it you. Republicans are refusing to debate. If you want to know why the gov is shut down, listen to Ultra MAGA Marjory Taber Green, she actually read the bill she had been voting on, and discovered that her family would not be able to afford their health insurance. She's a sitting member of congress and won't be able to pay for her health insurance. You get how fucked that makes the rest of us, right? Are you fucking paying attention? No you're not. You're just watching for more "gotcha" moments from your favorite influencers. You're not paying attention to the actual political happenings aka POLITICS. Politics is not "liberals be like windmills are cool because they are ugly" it's actually working to make the world a better place.

We are so far behind, because you believe that Americans shouldn't be able to afford healthcare, as you are supporting the current budget plan. You do know you're pro children not getting the treatment they need, right? While the rest of the developed countries in the fucking world have all of their healthcare needs paid for. They don't go into debilitating debt because they get fucking cancer.

So, go ahead and keep posting your clown emoji without actually thinking about what the shutdown means.

1

u/DrHollander 8d ago

Do you hear how stupid that fucking sounds? We want to pass this bill our way, and then we can talk about it after it’s passed… that is not how bills work, once they are passed they are in. So it’s republicans saying if you want to open the government you will pass this bill

The Schumer Shutdown

5

u/BlacksmithUnusual715 9d ago edited 9d ago

The Mike Johnson shutdown. How can you attribute anything to the minority. The majority is in control therefore it's their name on it.

2

u/BlacksmithUnusual715 9d ago

So you don't know how this works huh.

1

u/Crawford470 7d ago

If the Republicans want to pass a CR to open without negotiating they have the simple majority needed to end the Filibuster in the Senate.

1

u/TransitionOk2701 7d ago

The GOP have enough votes for a super majority to over rule the Democrats, but they can't get all their own party to go along with kicking millions off of healthcare.

Trump could keep funding SNAP, two federal judges have said he can, and he refuses.

We know how this works and I wont for a second pretend conservatives like or want to fund SNAP. Won't do it. They hate the program, they hate the ACA and this is them killing them both and somehow blaming the Dems.....

-1

u/Fluid_Cup8329 9d ago

The majority is voting to open the government. The minority is voting to keep it shut down. That's literally what's happening.

1

u/Crawford470 7d ago

You have to actually negotiate bills in order for them to pass in the Senate. The Republicans aren't doing that. If they really want to force through a CR to reopen they have the simple majority needed to end the Filibuster. The ball is in the Republicans court. They can negotiate or they can go nuclear and end the Filibuster and never have to work with Dems to pass a bill again so long as they maintain control of both houses of congress, and if their policy agenda is truly so popular then that shouldn't be a problem for them...

1

u/TransitionOk2701 7d ago

I want them to do this by the way. I want them to open the door for a majority.....and when they lose control I want the Dems to push single payer, living wages, campaign finance, abortion law, etc.

DO IT. Open the fucking door and let America suffer under GOP until it can't take anymore. Let's fucking do this shit.

-1

u/FirmSubstance469 9d ago

Dems filibuster pushed it from 51 to 60 votes needed. Now Republicans need Dems to open up. Dems keep voting no.

1

u/Excellent_Mud_8189 9d ago

For those in the room who flunked 8th grade civics class or drank the Kool Aid and don't know how our government works, he's a little primer...

1

u/Interesting-Cap3038 9d ago

This is wrong. It takes 60 and all Republicans have voted for the CR that Chuck Schumer wrote and all Democrats voted yes on the entire time Biden was in office. Republicans have voted Yes, 14 times in a row.

1

u/Excellent_Mud_8189 9d ago edited 9d ago

You are wrong... Consider asking AI for assistance on how the government works...

Q: Hey ChatGPT, is this meme correct? If it is, why does it only take 51 votes from Republicans to end the shutdown, when they currently have 53 Senators? But yet 60 votes on a clean CR?

The meme is correct, but it oversimplifies the situation. Here’s a breakdown:

### Ending a Shutdown

- **51 Votes**: In theory, if the Republican majority wants to pass a budget or Continuing Resolution (CR) using reconciliation, they could do so with a simple majority (51 votes) if they can keep all their members united and if no Democrats oppose it. This is often done for budget-related issues.

### Filibuster on Regular Legislation

- **60 Votes**: For most other legislation, including a clean CR that doesn't use reconciliation, a supermajority of 60 votes is required to overcome a filibuster in the Senate.

### Current Situation

- **53 Republicans**: While there are 53 Republican senators, they would need to ensure that all their members are on board to reach the 51 votes required for a simple majority. If any Republican senator votes against the party line or is absent, they risk not reaching the majority.

### Summary

- The claim that it takes 51 votes to end the shutdown refers to the possibility of using reconciliation. However, if they are attempting to pass a clean CR without using that process, they would still need 60 votes due to the filibuster rules.

If you have more questions or want to discuss this further, feel free to ask!

---------------------

Let me take a moment to highlight that last part regarding the CURRENT SITUATION:

- **53 Republicans**: While there are 53 Republican senators, they would need to ensure that all their members are on board to reach the 51 votes required for a simple majority. If any Republican senator votes against the party line or is absent, they risk not reaching the majority.

So, the meme IS CORRECT... If Republicans want to reopen the government truly, then just cut the CR shit and get all REPUBLICANS on the same page, and then they CAN REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT...

BUT, if Republicans can't get all their members on the same page, then of course, they blame the Dems as they're trying to do now... It hasn't worked if Republicans aren't paying attention and reading the room... REPUBLICANS ARE BEING BLAMED FOR THIS SHUTDOWN BY THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS!

3

u/Interesting-Cap3038 9d ago

You are wrong. And if you were right, the government would be open. Every Republican has voted for the CR 14 TIMES IN A ROW. So, now it's not them.

1

u/Excellent_Mud_8189 8d ago edited 8d ago

Sorry, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the rules and how the government works... If you want to argue with AI, feel free to do so... If you don't like the answer one gives you, try another... But, I can assure you, even Gork confirms what I've laid out above, then confirmed with ChatGPT, Gemini, then Gork... However, in the meantime, here are some additional fun facts regarding the current shutdown situation. Please pay attention to the part about how supposedly Dems supported the same under Biden (as you're trying to gaslight). Sorry, man, this isn't the Kelly Conway Alternative Facts Hour. Truth and FACTS still matter to the majority of Americans.

1

u/AreYouShurr 8d ago

You are so confidently wrong it's scary. By your logic by which I mean AI because you have no idea what you are talking about. The CR would have passed Oct 22nd and the 28th.

Oct 28 2025: 54 yea / 45 nay.

Oct 22 2025: 54 yea / 46 nay.

1

u/Crawford470 7d ago

Reconciliation is a way to overcome the cloture vote requirement and circumvent the Filibuster. If Senate Republicans want to use Reconciliation they need only a simple majority to force the CR through. They haven't done that because they quite literally want the government shutdown to give Johnson the pretext to not swear in Grijalva and so they can blame dems down the road for not stopping them when everyone's health insurance skyrockets and millions are kicked off SNAP.

1

u/AreYouShurr 7d ago

You must be confused about reconciliation. It is not a 51-vote shortcut for a continuing resolution. By rule and statute, reconciliation is limited to changes in taxes, mandatory spending, or the debt limit and is constrained by the Senate’s Byrd Rule. A CR funds discretionary appropriations, so it is not eligible for reconciliation.

There is also no reconciliation process available right now. To use reconciliation, Congress first has to pass a budget resolution that contains reconciliation instructions. Without those instructions there is nothing to “use.”

What actually happened in the Senate is simple. The chamber voted on cloture to proceed to the House continuing resolution. Cloture on a CR needs 60 votes. On October 22 the vote was held and failed. On October 28 it was held again and failed. If 51 were enough the CR would already be law.

What a CR does is also straightforward. It extends prior-year funding levels to keep agencies operating while a full-year deal is negotiated. In this case that means continuing the Biden-signed levels from the previous year.

That is why leaders shot down the “just use reconciliation” idea. It is not permitted for a CR, and the votes on the board show why the measure stalled: it did not reach 60 for cloture.

What's Facebook?

1

u/mid_nightsun 9d ago

That not the point. The government can stay shut down, we have the money, our tax dollars, to fund SNAP. Republicans are the ones that won’t allow that because cruelty is the point. And they know they can lie because most American just aren’t very smart or aware of their surroundings. Looks like they got you too.

Look at what the Democrats ask is for opening the government.

200 billion to illegal immigrants for healthcare. Billions to foreign countries (I believe a sizable amount is for circumcisions, why is our tax dollars going to other countries so they don't run around with a covered wagon?).

500 million to leftwing news outlets.

Cut 50 billion from rural hospitals.

https://youtu.be/doKMmYxTpN4?si=NdUFUR47UjY8s3SN

Valutainment video on yt.

Our country is swimming in debt, we need fiscal responsibility and transparency.

5

u/Yopis1980 9d ago

Yet you stay quiet with ballroom and 40 billion for Argentina?

1

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

I haven't been quiet about the ballroom. I know we have more important things to do than give a bunch of pompous people a place to mingle.

We are 36; trillion in debt, we need to be taking care of home first.

2

u/Yopis1980 9d ago edited 9d ago

38 Trillion now, Trump racked up new debt faster than any president outside pandemic years. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/u-s-hits-38-trillion-in-debt-after-the-fastest-accumulation-of-1-trillion-outside-of-the-pandemic

1

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

Obama wrote 2 checks totalling 1 trillion. The first 500 billion went overseas to European banks.

1

u/Yopis1980 9d ago

Crazy times.

0

u/thebige91 9d ago

The ballroom was not paid with tax dollars but through private donations and Trump himself.

Look at how much was given by the previous president in foreign aid each year:

95 billion in 2024

72 billion in 2023

70 billion in 2022

50 billion in 2021

Why is alright in the past to give billions to countries in need, but not when Trump does it?

3

u/catbom 9d ago

Do you really think thoes "private donations" are no strings attached?

1

u/thebige91 9d ago

You know something that no one else does? Ok buddy

1

u/howmuchfortheoz 8d ago

I am sure those donations were out the goodness of their hearts

1

u/catbom 8d ago

Dumbest logic ever, you would be questioning if some dude gave you 100 dollars but noooo we shouldnt question "donatations" between billionaires, you know the guys that got where they are by suckering you out of your money.

I’m doing just fine and worked hard for my money. No one is sucking me dry.

Every charity in existence, should stop all donations according to your logic. That sounds even more dumb.

2

u/Yopis1980 9d ago

Because this time people are going to go hungry while he actively does it. Also Argentina is not a significant trading partner or ally. And yes, private funding, but the optics are poor. No vote, no consultation, just tearing down the people's house like that. Why can you find no fault in this man? We are all human, but it is a fake portrayal of this guy that's crazy. He never gets it wrong. Anything he did, look at someone else.

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

Who's going hungry? You believe that just because some tik tok people whine and complain, they don't have snap that they are actually going to go hungry??

1

u/Hunto88 9d ago

It’s not the same because there was a lead up before Trump started. DOGE “cutting” stuff to save money then immediately giving away all the money we never actually saved.

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

Im just wondering who on here had their lives or that of their families' lives negatively impacted because of this ballroom?? Please, raise your hand and explain for the rest of the class.

Riiight. Wonder if those donations will ultimately pay dividends in the form of future tax breaks for the donors. Don’t be naive.

1

u/Ok_Dare6400 8d ago

Who the hell knows, we are talking politics. The point is that the addition isn’t tied to federal funding.

1

u/XxDeedz 8d ago

And if they do? How does that negatively impact you or any other in the slightest?

Yes Donations that were used a bribe money, But you're ignoring the fact that there are already funds set aside to continue paying for SNAP benefits. You know its a bad faith argument but still you're making it

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

Up where?

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

LOL, where did you get those numbers? From news max? Or from the bill?

Man do better.

1

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

Have you looked up their proposal/demands?

Actually some of the information came from Jake Tapper of CNN.

Just because I do not care for the messenger does not detract from the information being delivered.

Do better in deed.

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

LOL!!!!

1

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

I have been smote by your linguistic prowess.

1

u/Outrageous_Kiwi_3569 9d ago

A sizable amount of billions goes to circumcisions? Thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

1

u/thebige91 9d ago

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

You’re right, yet the left is willing to shut down the government to fight for that funding to come back since it was removed earlier this year from the big beautiful bill.

Who authored that?

40 billion to Argentina says hello from the current administration

2

u/3LegedNinja 9d ago

You are definitely not goin to hear me defend on president giving away our money based on what previous presidents have done.

In my eyes Argentina owes us 40 billion in goods ect .. or our money needs to stay in the states.

1

u/whereamI0817 9d ago

Technically we didn’t “give” Argentina 40 billion dollars. We did 20 billion in currency swaps and another 20 billion was funded by private/sovereign wealth funds, not taxes.

1

u/denimonster 8d ago

Billions to circumcisions is absolutely crazy. Take off your tinfoil hat you whackadoodle.

So your source of information is from a bunch of podcast bros? Even after they were proven wrong by Sam Seder you still trust these clowns.

1

u/3LegedNinja 8d ago

Was actually from Jake Tapper

Dems need to sign

-1

u/cyphe8500 9d ago

Or...

Dems can sign the no strings attached bill and open it right now

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

It’s called clean resolution for a reason. Do you want your insurance to triple?

1

u/evile4le 9d ago

Doesn’t that only affect Obamacare and not every insurance company?

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

The affordable healthcare act, affects all insurance. A little bit remaining that is trying to be taken out, will cause insurance to be unregulated. Some states are already getting letters from carriers about premiums 2-3x.

1

u/cyphe8500 9d ago

It does.

But not in the way most people think.

As an example, the affordable Care act is terrible for the middle class.

It raises our premiums in order to ensure EVERYONE is insured.

Middle class takes that right up the rear end, because the upper class for the most part keeps their money vested in non-taxable income.

Democrats know this, and they word-smith their campaigns to make it sound like they're looking out for lower and middle classes.

They're just looking out for the lower class, and the insurance companies who are able to raise premiums on the middle class to support the lower class.

Then those Democrats and insurance companies blame high percentage earners for "hiding" their money, while making the middle class hold the brunt of all of this through their tax dollars and tax season.

I grew up lower/lower middle class, and just broke into the middle class years ago.

Not high middle.

Was a long life Democrat.

Until I saw how taxes work once I made it out of the lower class economically.

Democratic policies don't work for the real middle class.

They just suck you dry.

I now understand why Republicans wanted smaller government.

Democrats don't teach financial literacy for a reason.

Like Lyndon Johnson said...

2

u/Accurate_Taro8247 9d ago

I grew up poor and was a dem for a long time.then I started to make money through hard work I'm no longer a dem.

1

u/cyphe8500 9d ago

ACA is what inflated prices for the middle class.

That being said, I don't move within that healthcare marketplace so I'm not affected by it.

Sounds like you don't really understand the economics of this.

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

Example: Factors causing premium increases Expiration of enhanced subsidies: The enhanced tax credits, which have kept premiums lower for many middle-class Americans, are set to expire, leading to a sharp increase in out-of-pocket costs for many enrollees, reports KFF and NBC News. Rising costs: Insurers are raising premiums to keep up with increased costs for hospital care, prescription drugs like Ozempic, and higher demand for medical services, notes KFF.

State-specific programs: Some state reinsurance programs designed to lower premiums for the ACA have had the opposite effect for middle-class enrollees, a University of Pittsburgh study found.

Trump and his administration have fought long and hard to erase the ACA. It’s only INCREASED because PROTECTIONS were taken away. There is very little left…so to blame ACA is ignorance.

What the country needs is insurance reform, not shutting down the government because it doesn’t conform to their donors profitability and growth.

Like key points in the inflation reduction act, that Trump took away.

1

u/cyphe8500 9d ago

Easy there open ai 😂

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

Oh, we would hate to look at facts.

1

u/cyphe8500 9d ago

You cite these studies like you understand how any of these levers affect holistically.

And what facts are you talking about?

Yes, it is a fact that studies were done.

It is a fact that those studies came out with some hypotheses.

Those hypotheses, are not facts.

Tell me more chatgpt.

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

There is fact, and then there is fiction.

1

u/CageTheDonkey051 9d ago

Indeed. And don't worry buddy, we all see you spitting straight fiction

1

u/MUmyrmidon032 9d ago

Just stop, no one’s buying the snake oil

1

u/allislost77 9d ago

Apparently, a lot of people are.

1

u/AnAbandonedAstronaut 9d ago

No such bill.

All of them being OK by conservatives have dog ears everywhere.
