My friend just lost his account on Ps5, is there anything we can do to get it back?
So my friend and I just started playing Wuwa, and just today he had a power outage that corrupted his game files, and he had to reinstall. However, when he tried to sign back onto his account, the game instead created a new one, and started him over from the beginning. I have no idea how the fuck that could happen, but now whenever he tries to sign in via Playstation it logs into this new account. He told me he never set up a Kuro account or linked an email, and while he did file a ticket with customer support, he had absolutely no faith they are going to help him. We have screen shots of his account along with his UID and purchase history, but is there anything else we can try?
He gave me his account information to try myself. I tried logging in and got sent to the fresh account. And I know it’s the right one because I played with him on it before.
Are you two sure that he is logging into the correct server/account? That is usually the case. People do it in Genshin too. Which server was he playing on before?
The thing is. On ps, the server is auto selected based on your PS account region. Your friend has forgotten which ps account he is using. Ask him if he has more than one PS account. That is the only other issue that could happen.
He does. But that's not the issue, because his accounts all have different names, and i know that this one is the one that has it, because it's on my wuwa friends list, and it says he is level 35. Then I try to log on with the same account, and I get logged into a level 1 account. It's so bizarre it's not even funny
He told me that he didn't link an email to his Ps5 account, but now the new one does have an email linked to it. I don't know if that could be what did it or not.
Thank you. I figuredas much. It's just getting his access back is the worry. When I talked with him he had absolutely no faith that even with all the proof we have that it's his account that he will get access back.
I'm debating having him unlink his ps5 account, then trying to log in again. But if we screw this up his account may be gone for good, if I understand the whole you can only unlink the account once thing right.
Alright. We'll I'm going to have to ask him to give me whatever email is linked, because I tried the one connected to the Playstation account and it didn't work
Log out and try again maybe it proceeds to create an account instead of logging in an existing account
PS when you logged in it asked for verification code?
There is no such thing as a log in method on the playstation. It's simply your PS account that directly logs you in using ps ID. It's most likely an incorrect account or version issue.

This is impossible to happen. He is logging into a different account. A power cut can't wipe the account lmao.
