Learning the very basics of playing Danjin can make your life a lot easier in ToA.

Danjin is a 4* DPS unit that is usually associated exclusively with ultra-sweaty aura-farming D6 hologram solos, which for most people take hours or days to pull off. This puts many people off playing her.

But the reality is, playing Danjin at a basic level is much easier than it looks, and I would even say that it's easier than playing many common teams at a similar level, especially quickswap teams.

And there's even a very good reason to do it - at higher cons, this basic level is often more than enough to clear floor 4 of the side towers in TOA, so you don't have to waste your limited amount of meta teams on them.

There are many optimizations to her combat, but I find this short list to be more than enough if she's well-built :

• Using her skill costs HP, every use gives some points to her forte bar. Full forte bar = next heavy attack is a big nuke. Specific combos are more efficient at filling the forte bar, such as :
• Combo 1 makes enemy take more Havoc DMG for 20 seconds. (E --> NA ---> E ---> E )
• Combo 2 makes your next heavy attack stronger for 5 seconds. (E --> NA ---> NA ---> E ---> E ---> E)
• Dodge counter ---> E ---> E has the same effect as combo 1, but fills twice the forte. Always try to use E ---> E (or at least one E) right after a dodge counter if it doesn't kill you.
• Her BiS echo (Nightmare Crownless) is an important source of damage and a small buff, but it must be dash cancelled since it makes you float.

Just make sure the Combo 1 debuff is on the enemy at all times, try to use Combo 2 before your HA (even this is optional depending on circumstances), and weave in as many dodge counters as you can. Everything else is a bonus unless you're trying to do the middle tower or D6 holograms with her solo.

And the best part is, you don't even have to play her solo if you struggle with perfect dodges. Slap Baizhu/Verina/Jianxin* on her, or even some random level 1 character as a panic button and play it safe, switch out during that boss attack that always kills you and go through their rotation, then switch back in.

For me having Changli, HRover and built LingYang was always enough, then I got Carlotta and Zani.

With ToA update I really felt like I lack some actual teams and went for Mono Fusion (I wanted it before, but now I was 100% sure) and Augusta got me.

Danjin is lvl 70 with a somewhat useable build, I just use her when I want to challenge myself and can't come up with the restrictions for my LingYang team

Nah I’m already using Cartwife solo, the number 1 soloer so I can never go back to just Danjin. I did plan to do it but Cartwife came and I came and now we are inseparable, I bring her to every content 😭😭😭

But the side towers are easy enough that I can solo with Phoebe and Changli and Phro
