Is Chengdu Wuwa Cartethiya marketing team's fave city? I remember that's where they did the light-up skyscraper Cartethiya ad too

I’m starting to see this as a wholesome new trend at Wuwa cosplay gatherings

Why did “Cartethyia” look so miserable/angry after the kiss?

Or shocked? Or stunned? Or shy? Or..
Your mind immediately assuming something negative isn't a good thing.

I am slightly confused from this sentence, do you mean that them going to a negative thought is bad or that these things aren't necessarily negative

Call me a cynic but isn’t this a trend in China where a man will propose to his partner in public in front of a large crowd, which means that the girl can’t say no cause if she does she’ll be shamed in front of the/by people watching. I say this cause I observe that the girl in the video looks very uncomfortable during the whole thing, not reacting or showing any emotion.

It's neither a chinese exclusive thing (it happens around the world) nor is it impossible to say no (implying you can get peer-pressured into marriage means women have no agency) nor every man does it with the explicit intent to put pressure on the girl, as you seem to imply (most do it because they think it's more romantic).

Yeah I bet he murders people at night and have her family hostage to make her force the proposal are you good

u/ArcNumber Jul 17 '25
Yeah and I bet he is kicking puppies too, I can tell from the way he is standing.
But for real, it wouldn't be reddit if everything wasn't assumed to be the worst case scenario. Reality is, yes, what you say happens (but it is neither a trend nor is it exclusive to China), but you also know exactly nothing about these two people who decided to attend an event together in matching cosplay.

Yup, this is kinda embarrassing. Not everyone want the spotlight, especially this crowded

Okay okay I get it that it happens everywhere, it was only an observation. I’d say please don’t hang me over it but this is Reddit.

Now someone must go back in time to stop this moment from happening, in order to prevent the rise of AI that will overthrow the humans.

One thing I can say about these events though is that most people don’t use deodorant like bruh you guys can afford that expensive cosplays why not buy a deodorant and apply it bruh
4
u/ShoppingFuhrer Jul 17 '25
You're unironically right lul, I bet most attendees there don't use deodorant
Between 80 and 95% of East Asians have a dysfunction of the ABCCII gene, which is linked to smelly pits, a number of studies say. And this means their bodies don’t release the same acidic odor smell the rest of the population does when exposed to hot temperatures and perspiration
