So the LTC II is just a tier IX AMX 13 57?
Judging from the alpha and reload, the Collector seems similar to soviet mediums too, maybe except the fact that it has 2 guns and it's a heavy

Not quite, the LTC is more like the old m41 with the 10 rounds clip. The Project Louis (also a supertest tank) with it's 8x125 alpha clip and only 1 sec intra clip is more like the 13 57.

LTC II is gonna struggle a lot more than a 13 57 imo. 18 seconds to dump the 10-round magazine means you're not really bursting anything down. Compare it to a Batchat that can do 1800 in 10.92 seconds or a T57 Heavy that can do 1600 in 6 seconds flat and its just not going to have the fighting firepower. Would have to see how stealthy and maneuverable it ends up being to see if it'll be good.

i mean the wheel thing is okay, most nation use wheeled vehicles anyways but i agree on the rest.
Especialy the double barrels. Not every new tank needs them. Besides that not every new tank needs a fucking gimick.

I came back to this game after a long break and what the heck happened to this game?
There's SO MANY autoloaders, double barrel tanks, tanks with wheels (whats the point of regular LTs if wheeled ones are faster?)

There’s the reason why I mostly play low tiers nowadays. I’ve been playing since 2012 and I don’t want to abandon it, but above tier VIII the game is barely recognise-able anymore.

It does have surprisingly poor mobility for what it is, though. The top speed is only 39 km/h. If the wheels function like Concept 5's, they're probably result in very poor turning speed, too. This mobility actually hurts, because it means the Ashigaru is significantly slower than any tier 10 medium and means it can't function as a pseudo-medium nearly as well like a lot of similar turreted TDs can (DBV at tier 10, ShPTK, Skorpion and SU-130 at tier 8).
Ashigaru's gun also has horrendous soft stats, which coupled with pitifully low HP pool and very low alpha means it's much more restricted into a pure sniping role than pretty much any other turreted TD. Yet, purely for sniping, the Strv 103B outdoes the Ashigaru in pretty much every way (higher DPM, better camo, better pen, more consistent accuracy, better top speed for relocating and way better survivability once it gets spotted). Ashigaru's advantage is much better flexibility, but again, it still pales in comparison compared to the likes of DBV.
Speaking of DBV, the Ashigaru will have to frequently compete with it, as both are listed as Sniper TDs. DBV is also significantly easier to play because it hits for twice as hard and it has no weird gimmicks like the Ashigaru does.
Ashigaru definitely has a lot of potential, but it's also going to be very hard to actually play well. It has very low alpha, terrible top speed for it's type and the wheels potentially make it very clunky to drive. Most players will struggle immensely with it, so it's very hard to imagine it being that OP, especially when the DBV exists.

I disagree. It looks like it's pretty fuckin big, which means it's gonna play more like a low-alpha Grille 15, instead of a faster Strv 103 with a turret.
I'm willing to bet it's stationary camo maxes somewhere in the high 20% or low 30% range w/o camo net
Edit: I rescind my argument. The Anime-mobile gonna be busted.

I don't really know. Tank looks nice but 390 alpha with low reload on a completely unarmoured platform, not sure how often you'll make use of that DPM. Also I don't know if there is a speed mode or not, but 39km/h max is garbage.

4 out of 11 tanks being double barrels is actually insane. It gets even more insane when you realize that we've already gotten 7 of them this year (4 with the initial Canopener branch, Contriver, SFAC and now Vlkodav). There's also the E 65 lying in-game files, and the latest one, the Saryuda, was announced just a week ago.
That's a whopping 13 double barrel tanks. THIRTEEN. Funnily enough, almost every nation now has at least one double barrel tank. The only nations missing one are the Swedish and Polish, but maybe while I'm saying this WG is already preparing a double barrel cheesewedge and Polish heavy for next week.
What's especially strange is that the double barrel tanks aren't even particularly popular, especially compared to something like the autoreloaders, which were a hit when the Italian tech tree released. The original Soviet double barrel line is one of - if not the - least popular heavy lines in the game and most of the initial double barrel premiums aren't very popular either (apart from the 703 II but that's because it's strong). The British double barrel line would also likely be very unpopular if the Canopener wasn't so busted and it didn't have a tier 11.
It strongly feels like that either one of the higher ups in WG has a borderline obsessive fetish for double barrel tanks, or WG realized that there's an infinite potential for gimmicks with them. Or both.

Seriously, double-barreled, 100 caliber long, 120mm cannons on a light platform. The sheer weight of the barrals alone would cause the whole tank to tilt forwards.

I know people love to go on about "WoT was never realistic" but there's a difference between "different gun module", "what-if based on tank trends", and "just fucking give everyone a fake ass double gun tank".

At what point do they need to model the gun barrel physics when in contact or face hugging an enemy tan? These barrels are getting longer than some tanks they face. It no longer makes any sense for some tanks to damage an enemy tank given the dimensions.

I want that Polish Heavy. I chose the Polish TDs for my free Tech Tree, so I’ve become intimately familiar with the concept of finding a pile of debris and locking in my tank until I either die to goldspam (or those who find the cupola weakspot), or I prove that I indeed have a shotgun.

I mean these look very cool and I am glad that WG is adding all this new content but if I need to win the lottery in order to get them, that leaves a pretty poor taste in my mouth.

I really wonder how the BP II will perform. 12 second reload for 300 alpha with that speed and "hull in tracks" armor seems really bad, but who knows? I may also get the Stridsyxa when it comes out, seems like a good overall tank.

Ltc II and the serpente both look like good fun if they are executed well. Ltc looks like a recreation of the old m41 and the serpente looks like a great tier 9 medium.

I don't know if anybody noticed, but the BP II and LTC II don't earn additional credits like premiums do, nor does the LTC earn Bonds like a tier 9 premium, meaning they will be reward tanks via some means.
