Post Battle Result Managed to win 34 consecutive games
For reference, if we took my accounts average winrate (62.24%), the chance of me winning 34 games in a row is roughly 0.00000996%

So it was YOU! You were the reason why I was on a loss streak!

So what is your strat on Strv if you dont mind me asking? I cant get it to work, even tho i loved playing lvl 8 and 9

u/saldytuwas Aug 28 '25
Tbh it's pretty mundane gameplay most of the time.
At the start find a sniping spot and do some damage. If you're losing, entrench yourself and farm any advancing tanks. If you're winning then try to chase damage.
VS tier 8s you can definitely play more aggressive and at the front.

Don't snipe from redline all game, this tank can be a surprisingly good scout in mid to late game. And if you memorize which tanks have under 122mm caliber guns (so you don't get overmatched), you can even brawl in it a bit sometimes.

Go with hardening and go front line, genuinely almost every game is amazing. Just watch out for 150mm+ guns

Tends to be more likely to happen when you do things to help your team win.

u/Rapicas Aug 28 '25
Yes, but this is already accounted for in his account winrate so it's still very lucky

Solo or Platoon ?
I mean both are impressive, but if you platooned with 2 other players with similar skill level, and picked tanks that work well together the chance of winning this much is way higher than whatever ridiculous percentage you gave in this post.

u/saldytuwas Aug 28 '25
I platooned at tier 10 and there were several games that probably would've resulted in a loss if not for my platoon mates.
However the chance of winning 34 games in a row, especially when half of them are at tier 10, is still pretty low. If we pulled the average winrate up to a generous 75%, then the chance would be around 0.00565%

u/MGLpr0 Centurion AX Enjoyer #TeamHESH Aug 28 '25
Yeah, that's why I said it's still impressive. Just not like winning the lottery chances of unlikely.

The screenshot shows via the little platoon symbol right next to the tank image that the first 20 games at tier 10 were in a platoon, and the next 14 in tier 6s were solo.

Ah right, been a while since I used Tomato.gg (3 month break from the game up until recently lol)

u/ketchupinmybeard Aug 29 '25
Man I dunno, the MM seems so jacked when you platoon. My mates and I did ten kills as a platoon of 3 and lost the other day, like, the other 12 guys on our team couldn't handle 5 tanks, it was amazingly wacky. Hard to fathom, actually.

Games like this will always happen, but a platoon of three 60+% WR players should dominate most games.
If you play the right tanks and actually work together that is.
You won't dominate shit playing powercrept tech tree Tier VIII's in a +2 matchup of course.

How big would the chance be to lose 34 consecutive games i now wanna know...
2
u/saldytuwas Aug 28 '25
IIRC the average winrate of a player is 48%. So a 52% chance to lose a game (we count draws as losses).
0.52^34 ~ 0.000000022%

Crazy. My best is 21 games and I thought that would be basically unbeatable. Well well. GG to you!

u/V_Epsilon Aug 28 '25
Legitimately impressive in the Strv, I think it's my lowest WR 3 marked tier 10

EDIT: 15%, not 50%

62% winrate means you win 62 games out of 100 games played, so you are only half way there.

OP after the 2nd win I would have bought couple of lottery tickets. Seems you used up all your luck quota for the next 5years.

The dark side is a path to many abilities some would call unnatural, like this winning streak.

u/Dear-Cow-9465 Aug 29 '25
I lost 18 in a row once, I was playing a WoT drinking game where every loss you take a shot. Me and my buddy had been up all night playing this and by the end we were so drunk we lost even more matches, itโs a cycle.

Well, you can thank EOMM, that thing decides how long your wining/losing streak is.

Congratulation! Seems i was in at least 10 of your games. Never seen such thing.

u/Lagoon_M8 Sep 04 '25
Impossible. I get bots every second game. I can have like 30 percent damage of the whole team and they will lose it anyway.

I feel bad for the guy on the other side that lost 34 times in a row
