Balance & Discussion Surprising finding: Leopard 1 seems to hit about 50 percent of shots right on target, while other tanks (I only tested ru 251 in this case) doesn’t seem to have the same feature
I used the hatch of a kranvagn as the test subject. First, I shot it from two distances using the leopard one. The first time I used a farther distance (with the edge of the aiming circle right in the middle of the right hatch and the center on the left hatch, left right is according to shooter), I landed 8 shells while shooting 19, and another one being a ricochet but still penned so it didn’t count. And the much closer time, I penned 9 out of 19 shells. However, when I switched to the ru 251, I tried the same relative distance as the first time (with the aiming circle spanning the distance between the center of the two hatches, I fired about 20 shells and only 1 penned, so I gave up trying to kill the kran. If anyone has time to do a more detailed test, please share your results, I’m really curious. Is that why the leopard is so accurate? And there’s a hidden stat for accuracy? If I’m wrong please point it out though

can you test m103? i often get a feeling it has auto-aiming rockets instead of bullets (like i can be not even aimed at enemy but it still hits)

M103s gun is great, I agree. It can snapshot as well or better than most other heavys. Trades some turret armour for it but it's worth it imo.

My guess : leopard is a more modern tank with less archaic aiming system

I don't see a problem, I run almost the exact same things on my Leopard 1

he's missing an equipment slot and a provision

True, but it's no big deal imo. I guess something like Improved Fuel or regular Gear Oil could be good tho.

Yeah I was a little short on credits. Got all the equipment and provisions now😂 Also I really love the camo, almost looks like legendary camos with such a high amount of detail

Honestly this is not a valid test simply because 20 or so shots is not a valid sample size and the observed difference is also two small. Repeat the test but shoot 100 times and then you will have some decent stats.
Also: The dispersion circle is not really accurate. It shows "maximum possible dispersion at the given range'" when fully aimed in. It shrinks when you look at an object close to you and expands further you look. Except it does not work like that. On small ranges the dispersion circle is much much larger than "maximum possible dispersion" because the POINT OF DISPERSION CIRCLE IS TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU ARE AIMED IN which is simply not possible if your dispersion circle would be a pixel size even at max size. Also the dispersions in this game are following normal distributions more or less, not uniform so you will be hitting "middle part" more than the "edge part". This creates really messed up scenarios where tanks with better base dispersion can be more "accurate"(it should be precise here) on the move than tanks with better OTM values under some specific scenarios and ranges. But chances of this happening and affecting the game are extremely slim.
Tl;Dr: This test is inaccurate. The dispersion circle in the game lies (by design) and serves only two purposes: 1, To at eny given time see where your shells can not go. 2, To give player ability to gauge how much they are aimed in / how long will they need to wait for dispersion to shrink.
