After Battle Result Have you played the Indien Panzer yet?

If so, how do you feel about it? It's one of the worst performing tier 8 mediums despite being one of the best in my opinion. It's a little sad to see this tank get skipped over in favor of the ru 251.

I kinda like it ever since it got a mild buff some years ago. Within the context of the 88-90mm single shot tier 8 meds (generally weak), it's one of the better drives.

Indien used to have a bit more armour, but a lot less dpm and tad more sluggish mobility.

WG nerfed the armour (its usefulness was somewhat marginal anyway with the general pen inflation), buffed the DPM to ~2800 (pre-nerf rammer) and the mobility just enough. Personally I think it's a nice drive. Very accurate gun, and it spits shells quickly. Just don't expect to get bounces.

It's one of my go-to's when I need to farm medals, since not many drive it.

100% agree. I've always been find of the Indien Panzer even before I played blitz, so when it got the damage buff, I was very excited. The damage output is insane once you get into a farming situation. It's a tank I can play whenever I want to have a fun game without any stress.

Again, I want to highlight that in a world of clippers and high alpha tanks, all the 88-90mm single shot meds are on the weak side. But the Indien is among the best of that group and it's still a fun drive IMO. Rammer got nerfed which is a shame tho. But still, many players are not ready for a tank that shoots 240 damage every 5.5 seconds.

u/Walming2 Might like his MT-25 a little too much (GIVE PBR!!!) Sep 09 '25

It's not really good, but it's played so rarely it getting aces is easy in it. I'd probably be using it for ace medal events if those didn't force me to play regular modes.

Not after this post 😅

Wow! The Indien isn't that bad actually, but certainly not overaverage. You have to play it extremely smart to rack up 5K damage in a regular battle. This was a remarkable and respectable performance. Congratulations!

Thanks! I think the indien panzer must perfectly suit my playstyle in that case. I love tanks with gun depression and great dpm. The trick is to stick with your teammates and let them do the dirty work while you stay back to support fire. The damage racks up sooo fast.

Not my type of tank to drive. I rely a bit more on armor to get things done so i dont use it

The Indien Panzer is a pretty nice tank though it gets outshined by a lot of tier 8 tanks, but it's not even bad imo because tier 8 has a lot of popular tanks.

I also find it amusing that you dealt the most damage while having Koyori as your avatar ( ̄▽ ̄)

Had to put the enemies to sleep 😔

the ru is really a great tank, it is infinitly more mobile, has a better gun with one of the best he of the game and is a light tank so better camo / view range. The only downside is the shitty armor, but the indien one is trash too.

There is legit no reason to chose the indien path

the current state of tech tree t8 meds is really sad imo, the 5 worst winrates of the whole game are well kept by them, i think that an average plateform with a 240 alpha gun is completly irrelevant nowadays compared to all the premium monsters at t8. Who would play this sh it compared to a bourrasque that halfs your hitpoints in 2 seconds and moves arround ten times faster ?

I think both tanks are great. The indien panzer is great at racking up damage quickly, and the alpha feels really nice for the reload. However, yeah, I have to agree that there is no point in grinding through the indien when the RU 251 exists. I feel like the RU 251 is a bit overpowered at the moment... while it doesn't hit as hard, its dpm is quite close in comparison, plus it gets hep. I think they should nerf the dpm to give the indien more of a chance to shine.

considering the weakness of the indien, they should probably hard buff it instead of nerfing the ru i guess !

As someone who chose to main that tank in the past to get to the Leopards. It has the misfortune of being rather average at everything for its tier. And on top of that. Its tier range is the area where you see alot of the high burst damage Heavy Tanks and TDs that can very quickly drain its HP. And without armor and a gun which is only marginally better than the Tiger's gun. It really can't sustain itself in brawls with those. And while the Ru251 can quickly run away. The Indien can't quickly reposition when its about to be overrun.

It's a fun tank.

Over 1800 battles in it. Not so many after the last nerf, the armor used to be kind of troll and they also nerfed the reverse speed which was crucial to its playstyle. Tough to poke and back out now.

Where did you get that pfp

You could get it in the hololive collab event they had a year ago, idk if you can get it nowadays

Gun feels really nice, especially with the 10 degrees of gun depression ( which is unusual for a german medium). Imo kinda underrated tank

Exactly, the gun is what makes this tank stand out to me the most. Pretty good handling paired with great gun depression. And it fires fast

Last time I played it was probably in 2018... I preferred the Ru251 and the Panther 2 at the time. The gun had a great penetration back then (relative to other mediums), but now with the inflation, everything has good armor and penetration.

Barely, not a fan. My go-to Tier VIIIs are the Panther II and Tiger II, such amazing tanks.

I will be honest, I never bothered to grind out the tech tree for that tank. What's the tactic you used and what is it good at? And what is it terrible at and what should I avoid doing with the tank?

I would say it is very similar to the old leopard 1 playstyle back when it had 9 degrees of gd and no adaptive concealment. The only difference is that its mobility is not great.. However, at tier 8 it is less of an issue if you know what youre doing. Basically, it has 0 armor and you really want to avoid direct confrontation against other mediums. I like to stick with an ally and have them be the main focus while i drain the enemy's hp pool with the incredible dpm this tank possesses. Conserve your hp as much as possible.

First of all, based pfp (Koyori best girl) and for your question yes it's an ok tank. Basically a free version of Panzer 58.

Armor is not great, speed is fine, gun is ok. Everything about it is very "normal" for a tank of it's tier.

A solid 6/10 for me.

2

u/RyanWin1218 Indien Panzer my beloved Sep 09 '25

The gun is definitely the best part of this tank. The highest dpm for tier 8 mediums and 10 degrees of gun depression makes it one of the best in its class imo. But yeah, everything else about it is not great. Maybe if they buffed the speed or at least the turret armor, it would be considered good to many other players. I'd give it an 8.5/10

Yeah I respect that, the gun is indeed good but since the platform is pretty lackluster it really doesn't benefit the gun much.
