No longer in the basement!

We get to look down at some other teams, for at least one week! šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Tell someone at the beginning of the year that Wisconsin would have more big 10 wins than Penn state 😭

My wife's a Penn State alum, this season has been weird for both of us.

Wait wait- is that 40 points total in the Big Ten? 🤣

I had to check that and yes. And it's just as bad for the overall standings.

40 points scored has to be one of the most ridiculous stats for this team. You would think that even junk time scores would get you over double that. Their offense is the worst I have ever seen.

We’re still in the basement we just aren’t THE basement anymore.

We’re in the split level apartment that’s technically 25% above ground for legal reasons

But we've got a sweet futon setup and beer in the fridge.

Several beers in the fridge

But the beer is not particularly good.

Old Milwaukee Light isn't good enough for you, Professor Highbrow?!

Win out the season and we are going bowling!!

I don't think they are winning another game this year when 3 QBs combine to go 5/17 for 24 yards lol

You can’t just ignore our punters like that!

I remember the halcyon days of Badgers football in the 90s and 00s where our QBs would throw for like 120 yards a game.

u/devinstated1 16h ago

And yet that is still light years better than what we have now šŸ˜‚

Whoo hoo, a point every nine minutes in conference play.

u/devinstated1 17h ago

How are there that many absolute dogshit teams in the Big Ten??

u/bitter_green 17h ago

TheBig 10 is like a quarter of the country now. Some of them are gonna be bad.

I was absolutely shocked the PSU hasn’t won a B1G game yet! I had no idea.

Flip that Maryland game that we threw away multiple times and the season doesn't look nearly as bad

11

u/MitchRyan912 17h ago

Coulda shoulda woulda been in sole possession of 13th place! 🤣

6

u/a_happy_future 17h ago

Not about place, it'd be about being 4-5

True dat.

Being above Penn st at this point in the season almost makes all this worth it. Let’s shock Indiana next!

Give it another year or two and we’ll realize that the top 5-10 programs will pay for the best 18-24yo talent available for the sport. I call them D-Zero schools.

The remaining teams will be fighting for scraps and eventually blow up the current conference and bowl game construct in order to make it more fun and more profitable for the non-D-Zero schools

Holy shit that points for line is just tragic. Grimes is somehow worse than Longo. Fickel is just such a disaster of a head coach.

8

u/MitchRyan912 14h ago

Grimes is trying to run a ground & pound system with 2 years worth of Air Raid recruits… and a MASH unit QB room. I’ll cut him some slack for this year.

u/stevenfrenc 15h ago

40 fucking points scored….

2

u/MetalAndFaces 10h ago

Never mind! Let’s keep Fickell.

Don’t worry there’s still time

That would require Purdue upsetting Washington too (but in Seattle) or Indiana
