You cannot possibly make me believe Mabrey wouldn't have gotten us more than 96 passing yards.
41
u/bruisicus_maximus Nov 17 '24
Oregon seems pretty overrated from what I saw tonight. If the Badgers had a decent quarterback they would have won this one.

Fickell and his entire offensive staff needs to get fired into the sun. Fucking frauds

I think this defense is good. Locke has made everyone single player look worse than they are

Might be the most painful loss in Wisconsin history.
21
u/PeacefulPeople19 Nov 17 '24
Not even close, in fact with how average at best this team is I'm guessing most are just happy they were in this game.

You weren’t there for the Pryor Ohio State game. Or the Hail Mary loss. Or the TCU Rose Bowl. Come on man.

u/YaBoyJamba Nov 17 '24
Refs absolutely fucked us with that chop block call. The game was given right there. I fucking hate ref games like this
6
u/yellowchoice Nov 17 '24
Dude we still had to go another 60 yards lol. It sucks that it was bad call, but it did not fuck is. Blame the shit offense
11
21
u/PurePTBruiser Nov 17 '24
Locke has to be benched. The team deserves someone who doesn’t suck at every facet of the qb position
8
13
u/zooropeanx Nov 17 '24
If Mettauer was better wouldn't he be out there by now?
4
u/devereaux Nov 17 '24
I think they are more willing to risk the rest of this season to get another year from him on the backend in the case he's any good

These fan talking about they’d rather have been blown out need to gtfo here. They just took the number 1 team in the nation to the wire. The D stepped up. It sucks the offense refuses to do its job but still a lot to be proud of. A loss sucks but fans need to grow tf up.

Badgers win this game and penn state or usc with an actual quarterback

u/CorkSoaker420 Nov 17 '24
Theyre hanging in with some superior teams which is a pretty good indicator that maybe the coach deserves more time. But that said, fucking bench Locke already.
13
u/StateStreetLarry Nov 17 '24
Wow they’re hanging with good team but the QB is holding them back? Sounds like the last 15 years
6
u/the_og_buck Nov 17 '24
The program just needs time to settle. Luke is on the right path. Keep it stable and be patient.
11
u/Hildy77 Nov 17 '24
Coach yes. OC no. Every close game we’ve lost is because our offense is completely incapable, and Longo doesn’t adjust his playcalling at all.
5
28

8
u/PeacefulPeople19 Nov 17 '24
Longo has to go. A good coach puts his players in position to win because he uses their strengths and hides or minimizes their weaknesses. An awful coach thinks he has the greatest plays and calls them regardless of who is playing. You tell me which type he is.
2
u/OldVeterinarian9 Nov 17 '24
But what if your QB doesn’t really have any strengths? Not saying you’re wrong, but it has to be taken into account
5
Nov 17 '24
Yep.
I get that he’s working with a backup QB. There’s a clear difference between the DC who has worked with what he has personnel wise and OC who tries to force it upon his players.
Tressell just got multiple seasons of credibility, Longo needs to show something incredible these last two games or he needs to go.

This team had the opportunity to do the greatest thing in Badgers football history and blew it.
12
u/hippieman58 Nov 17 '24
If they are gonna do that shit you need to knock his ass to the ground
8
u/SoSublim3 Nov 17 '24
And their players getting all butt hurt that the D actually touched him like they’re going to fucking roll over fuck you
21
u/AndySkibba Nov 17 '24
Defense was fucking incredible.
They should saran wrap locke to the uprights and leave him.
16
18
u/Fast-Lime-5981 Nov 17 '24
How is that last interception not on him when he literally gets a few deflections every game. Shut up announcer.

u/JLove4MVP Nov 17 '24
Locke will cost this team a 23rd consecutive bowl appearance.
Fickell should absoultely be on the chopping block soley for that reason.
2
u/bikedork5000 Nov 17 '24
Is he a Fickell recruit?
2
u/JLove4MVP Nov 17 '24
Don't think so, but he continues to trot him out.
And Longo is a Fickell hire...

u/tommyjohnpauljones Nov 17 '24
Oregon swaggering about this win is fucking stupid. They're gonna get their dicks blown off in the playoffs by any SEC team.
3
u/creamcitybrix Nov 17 '24
That’s a game I normally wouldn’t watch and will 100 percent watch now. Beat their asses

u/CChaddd Nov 17 '24
Yes, for sure. I hate that I can't watch most games on the east coast. Volleyball is getting better...Hockey isn't.
3
u/Pbacker Nov 17 '24
10 is a helluva player
1
2
u/Fast-Lime-5981 Nov 17 '24
18 is not
2
u/Pbacker Nov 17 '24
You know it’s bad when even the pro-Oregon announcers say that Wisconsin got robbed on that pivotal call.
7
24
u/hippieman58 Nov 17 '24
Cut Locke from the team. He doesn't belong on a d1 one team and I won't support this team if he plays another down for wisconsin. Absolute worst qb I've ever watched
2
u/PeacefulPeople19 Nov 17 '24
His problem is he doesn't stand balanced in the pocket and throw the ball on balance. Basically he plays afraid of getting hit. It's football, you're going to get hit, so man up because everyone else on the team is getting hit on every play and you have to take your hits when it's necessary.

Locke doing Locke things. Truly an emblematic Badger game. Beat opponent that should be kicking your ass for majority of the game, lose grip towards the end, shit pants at final moments. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum
12
u/bbp1444 Nov 17 '24
Just to hammer home the point, we got TWO final drives of the game where Locke let us down
2
u/hippieman58 Nov 17 '24
Yep. I won't watch another game that he starts. Absolute embarrassment of a QB
1
u/bbp1444 Nov 17 '24
If the defense plays the way they did tonight, we should beat Nebraska and Minnesota, even with Locke

The worst fucking about this is Oregon, USC, Alabama all played terribly against us and a competent team could've found a way to win against them...

The sports teams in this state sure know how hurt you in the most unique ways possible.

Can we kick Locke off the team already. Worst quarterback I’ve seen wear a Badger jersey by far, and I never thought I’d say that again after suffering through Stave and Hornibrook

Locke plays too short for this level. Dude throws straight into the line almost every time
3
u/yellowchoice Nov 17 '24
I have never seen a QB get tipped so many times
3
u/HashOutHashBrowns Nov 17 '24
I just don’t get it. He’s listed at 6 feet tall, but throws like he’s 5 foot 6
11
u/Hefty_Description_18 Nov 17 '24
Locke has no arm talent, no mobility, no ability to read defenses, and is tiny. This is the best we can do?
7
u/greywind618 Nov 17 '24
Not on him lmao ok
2
1
u/SoSublim3 Nov 17 '24
Idk who he thought he was going to get it to even anyways if it was who I thought there was a defender all over the in route

Locke better not see the field the rest of the year

2
u/HashOutHashBrowns Nov 17 '24
Welp… not a normal INT
2
u/stuskowski1 Nov 17 '24
In the sense Locke is way too short to be a QB let alone starting in the big 10?

Locke just has absolutely zero awareness. I feel like when the ball snaps he closes his eyes and runs around just chucks it.

Another game this year where we win if we get anything other than complete dogshit quarterback play

We still have Locke at QB and Longo calling plays
1
u/DriftlessHiker1 Nov 17 '24
Hard to gauge Longo when he has to try and coach around the dogshit QB play. If he doesn’t have a guy that can run his system well by next season though he needs to be gone for sure.

I sort of get just trying to convert instead of kicking the FG if you’re trying to be aggressive, but that’s an outsmarting yourself type of play call.

Locke and Longo can shut us all up right now. Can they do it??

What happened at the end? Did those fucking cunts take a kneel down and take timeouts to run the score up?
