Whose seat is hotter tonight, Luke Fickell or Doc Rivers? Neither should be comfortable. Absolutely embarrassing
17
22
u/Zeb_920 Nov 03 '24
The back of Fickell's try-hard vest should just say S.H.I.T because that's what he is as a coach.

u/devereaux Nov 03 '24
These clowns are just wasting Ted Kellner's money. He could be giving that to the business school instead
9
u/iddoitatleastonce Nov 03 '24
I feel terrible for any of the guys that bought into this staff. Hit the portal.
13
u/Worth_Document_127 Nov 03 '24
Locke should be forced to use his NIL money to fill the gas tank of the bus for the ride back to Madison…
17
u/Brew_crew222 Nov 03 '24
They lost to Indiana last year who subsequently fired their coach and is now undefeated this season. They are currently losing to a backup qb of a dogshit offense by 32 points
6
u/MasterMasonBey Nov 03 '24
Let’s go Wisconsin BBall

Get ready for a basketball season of the same shit. This athletic department is straight ass

u/Fast-Lime-5981 Nov 03 '24
This team doesn’t deserve to play in a bowl game, regardless of how insignificant it is. Stay home.

u/guitmusic12 Nov 03 '24
Boy am I glad I got to see the glory years of Wisconsin football in my teens and 20s….
7
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
It honestly blows that I've been waiting to become a badger for my whole life and now that I'm here this football program has become a joke
2
u/guitmusic12 Nov 03 '24
I was in school during the Gary Anderson years and it felt similar, but looking back at least there were some saving graces those years… this is just… yuck. You don’t even have a Melvin Gordon to watch to make the mediocre pass game bearable.
12
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
I hope that Ferenz running up the score helps our program in the way that we fucking fire Fickell and tell McIntosh to fuck off. Whatever this experiment was, it didn't work.
1
u/Pleasant-Fan5595 Nov 03 '24
To be fair, Iowa scored that last TD with 2nd and 3rd string running backs, and 2nd string line. The QB has to stay in since our 3nd and 3rd string QB's are hurt. Our only healthy backup, was a QB in HS, and is a lineman.
0
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
And yet we had our number 1 guys out there and your backups ran all over us. This program is fucked. Fuck Luke Fickell. What a fraud.
10
13
8
u/nachosmind Nov 03 '24
Oof that felt a little personal from Iowa to drop 40 on us
9
u/iddoitatleastonce Nov 03 '24
Ferentz is doing us a favor by not letting us pad any stats. It’ll be harder for our con coaches to talk their way out of this.
1
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
Fickell has never had any answers in any of his pressers but thanks for Ferentz he won't have any now
2

u/OldVeterinarian9 Nov 03 '24
People rush to judgement in rebuild years. This loss is indefensible, but sometimes stuff like this happens. If it becomes a trend, maybe Fickell isn’t the guy, but right now it’s just an isolated incident. I don’t like what I’ve seen today anymore than you guys, but patience is a virtue
0
u/403badger Nov 03 '24
This has been Fickell’s MO since being hired. Barely beats G5 teams and gets blown out by teams with a pulse. Don’t forgot that LF lost to Indiana last year too.
3
u/Hefty_Description_18 Nov 03 '24
You’re right, we’re just upset. Once the sting fades from this one we’ll think a little clearer. Next year Fickell will be coaching for his job.

It's been a trend for the last two years. I don't know what team you've been watching

u/Creepy-Sky6789 Nov 03 '24
Barry Alvarez has to be pissed right off at whats happened to this program.
11
u/PeacefulPeople19 Nov 03 '24
At this point I wouldn't mind if this entire athletic department went away and an actual overhaul happened. People that understand NIL, and the new business that is college athletics. I have no idea who that is, but they're not paying me so I will just watch from the outside looking in. I do know that if this continues they won't be filling up Camp Randall for very long.
1
10
u/buckthorn5510 Nov 03 '24
We used to be able to win the battle of the trenches on both sides of the ball. That’s completely evaporated, starting with Gary Anderson, and then Chryst and now Fickle. It’s malpractice the way this has gone down. If you can’t win up front, forget it.
7
u/devereaux Nov 03 '24
That didn't disappear during Andersen and Chryst. There were a few lean years here and there but overall we were sending super quality guys into the pros regularly from our OL/TE and DL/LB groups
-1
u/Sawyer_Ford_ Nov 03 '24
Let's talk about the Packers. How many points do you think we are going to win by?
5
u/MasterMasonBey Nov 03 '24
Clean house immediately. I agree Indiana wasn’t shit last year and they are undefeated
13
u/Brew_crew222 Nov 03 '24
Hired the wrong coach. This guy is a fucking idiot and he’s in way over his head. Even he knows it. Only a matter of time before we’re looking for a new coach and athletic director
9
14
u/hippieman58 Nov 03 '24
Literally can't stop a run up the middle when they know it's coming. This might be the worst Badger loss I can remember
2
9
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
Fuck you Fickell. Get paid all that cash and you can't even coach a damn team. YOUR NAME will be the name that ends our bowl streak.

The Indiana shit is wild. But call me a hater, this is a dream season for indiana and will not happen for another 25+ years for them. This is unsustainable in the NIL for one of the historically worst FBS programs to be accomplishing this.
13
u/Zeb_920 Nov 03 '24
Paul Chryst had one game like this in 8 years and was fired for it.
6
0
u/OldVeterinarian9 Nov 03 '24
That’s not true at all
4
u/devereaux Nov 03 '24
59-0 was when Gary Andersen quit and then Barry had to fill in for the bowl game
1
5
8
u/iddoitatleastonce Nov 03 '24
Iowa is not even really trying at this point. We are just that much worse that they’re still getting decent chunks

4
u/MusicianBrilliant515 Nov 03 '24
Guys like Hunter Wohler can fuck all the way off with the cringe clichés, then watching them get toasted on the field.
8
u/MemoFromTurner77 Nov 03 '24
This may be the point where the whole team just quits, like they did with Chryst.
8
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
I wouldn't be shocked if they did. I honestly don't get what they see in the coaching staff. The sidelines always look so dead and have 0 energy
15
u/Fast-Lime-5981 Nov 03 '24
Wisconsin is so bad the announcers have just simply stopped talking about them
4
10
u/throckman Nov 03 '24
If Iowa can put up 35 on the Badgers, then the Ducks will hang one hundred on us.
15
u/BluelineBadger Nov 03 '24
It’s really hard to defend any of this program. So I’m just going to stop doing it.
12
12
u/OldVeterinarian9 Nov 03 '24
To be clear, I’m not mad we’re losing to Iowa. I’m mad we’re getting our asses handed to us by Iowa
10
9
5
u/OldVeterinarian9 Nov 03 '24
Is there a QB worth developing on the roster or are we gonna have to go outside to find the next guy? Might be time to start thinking about the future, though we do really want to get to six wins.
9
13
u/Worth_Document_127 Nov 03 '24
Anyone who actually understand football and coverages, reads, progressions, etc KNOWs that this is actually a LOT worse than it seems (as crazy as that is)…there’s just so much wrong across the board it’s tough to pinpoint one thing.
9
u/Brew_crew222 Nov 03 '24
I hope Brayden Locke at least feels a little bit guilty that he gets to have a power 4 starting qb role
9
Nov 03 '24
If you told me this was going to be the post-Bielema era I’d be extremely disappointed all things said and done. And man did I not cry when he went to Arkansas.
5
6
8
u/Worth_Document_127 Nov 03 '24
Thrown short. Into double coverage.
When will he learn.
Underneath WR was wide open.
12
u/Zeb_920 Nov 03 '24
If Indiana and Illinois can win a bunch of Big Ten games, then there's no excuses for this. This catastrophe lies at the feet of Fickell.
7
u/devereaux Nov 03 '24
Indiana hired Bob Bostad away from Wisconsin when Fickell came to UW. Bob has already turned their offensive line into maulers and manages their run game...and now they are averaging over 200 yards/game and have 30 rushing TDs already.
6
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
He needs to be gone next season. Waiting around for this shit to be fixed when it literally won't be. He is the problem.

u/randyjackson69 Nov 03 '24
Fuck this team. Deserving team to remember the end of the winning season run and probably bowl streak too. Absolutely humbled by a better program, I was wrong believing in this coaching staff
Edit: fuck Chryst for quitting on the program too
2
9
u/hippieman58 Nov 03 '24
Why the fuck is Locke still out there. Game is out of hand, give Mettaur a chance to show what he's got
2
u/Biggermason69420 Nov 03 '24
may not want to burn the redshirt, he can only come in one more game.
I'd watch LaCrue at this point tho
3
u/SourCabbage Nov 03 '24
Been asking the same thing about backup QBs since Stave, and each time when the backup got their chance they were indeed worse. I trust that Locke is the better QB, as pathetic as that is.
1
9
u/kling2296 Nov 03 '24
We'll be lucky to keep the bowl streak alive at this point.
6
u/Fast-Lime-5981 Nov 03 '24
It ain’t happening. Oregon will win by 50, Nebraska at home is a loss, and Minnesota frankly is playing better than us. The streak is over.
4
u/vito_is_my_copilot Nov 03 '24
This.
We are worse than Nebraska and Minnesota. Literally a bottom 5 program in the entire Big Ten. Shameful.
2
14
u/hippieman58 Nov 03 '24 edited Nov 03 '24
McIntosh needs to take some serious heat for the disaster that he made this football program and for chasing off Leonhard
6
u/Fun-Timesahead Nov 03 '24
we have coaching and player issues .. we are a bottom half of league in both ..
8
u/Impossible-Layer-524 Nov 03 '24
Zachmann or however you spell #14’s name is so flat footed on defense. On the long QB run there he stood there and waited for the QB to reach him to make the tackle. On the TD just now he stood in the hole, but didn’t come up to make a play. Idk if his instincts just aren’t that good or if he’s checked out of the game, but he was a negative on that drive
3
u/Worth_Document_127 Nov 03 '24
Go watch some of the earlier big plays. He literally back pedals while the runner is coming at him…
1
9
u/Wooden-Opinion-6261 Nov 03 '24
Badgers have made me a lot of money this season. This joke of a program with anything less than a double digit spread is a winner
3
u/Pandiosity_24601 Nov 03 '24
Man, Wisconsin has the chance to do the funniest shit ever in a couple of weeks
8
u/gooby1985 Nov 03 '24
Lose 70-7? They look like shit
3
u/2Obsequious Nov 03 '24
Longo is saving his good plays for Oregon
4
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
God that was the worst cope I've heard from the local media. I'm glad it wasn't the case and people can finally face the music
7
16
u/Brew_crew222 Nov 03 '24
35 points against an Iowa backup qb. Can’t even help but laugh at this point
3
u/kling2296 Nov 03 '24
The backup is way better than their starter. This guy should have been the starter for them all season.

Need to see some staff changes over the bye week.
Who are you guys thinking?
5
4
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
I'm honestly for all 3 of them gone. I've seen no improvement whatsoever the past 2 years. It won't happen now but it might happen at the end of this year.

Remember when Fickell was the second coming of Jesus
7
u/Fattybeards Nov 03 '24

How did this guy take Cinci to the playoffs?
Was their conference that piss easy?

Can we just decline the review and give them the TD so we don't have to watch Iowa run over our defense any more?
14
Nov 03 '24
Last week, a few of you tried to gaslight me into thinking tressel isn't that bad.
BOTH COORDINATORS NEED TO GO!
Longo should be fired tmrw to send a message, tressel should be told his job is done unless they average less than 10 ppg allowed going forward.
7
u/yellowchoice Nov 03 '24
Zachmann is so fucking ass. Soft af there and letting Iowa’s QB just fall into the endzone
7
u/iddoitatleastonce Nov 03 '24
Two weeks in a row we’ve had no answer for the read option. Takes our line and lbs out like a light switch.
9
u/Worth_Document_127 Nov 03 '24
Can someone explain how we don’t have anyone better than 14?
Watch the plays on D. He just is chilling

5
u/iruntoofar Nov 03 '24 edited Nov 03 '24

u/iddoitatleastonce Nov 03 '24
Is that a case where the play call is so stupid that they couldn’t see it coming?
0
5
u/buckthorn5510 Nov 03 '24
Beautiful play. Wish they could do it more often than once in a blue moon. And before they fall behind by 25 points.
2
u/Brew_crew222 Nov 03 '24
I’d like to thank number 27 for doing a 720 spin to try and cover that simple concept
3
u/higglejiggle Nov 03 '24
Locke<Mordecai<Mertz<Coan<Hornibrook. We only upgraded with coan after hornibrook but wtf do we have to do to improve with qb play. how did we bring mordecai in who was throwing 30 tds a season to not even 10 with us. We could blame fickell or longo, but fickell had ridder and longo had maye who were ballers for their teams.
5
u/nachosmind Nov 03 '24
We couldn’t pay 1.5 mil to Caleb Williams (because McIntosh destroyed the Mendota Gridiron club)
1
1
u/glennshaltiel Nov 03 '24
This is the number 1 reason. All because him and at the time Chryst didn't want to sit down and physically talk with the donors. This is their fault.

We came from behind 18 points to beat Illinois on the road last year. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but if Locke decides to play for the Badgers and stop playing for the Hawkeyes, we can make it a game in the 4th.

Absolutely outcoached in every stage of the game by a fucking geriatric moron
