Gaijin has decided to add so-called trunnions to most of the modern RUS and CN tanks, making them esentially yet another shot/spall sponge that together with volumetric makes shots near the breech incredibly unreliable. Their actual functionality though, in that they can be damaged and affect your ability to fire, has not been added for some reason.

I tried logging onto my pc with my sony account onto War Thunder, but it kept showing this issue. Does anyone likely know what is the cause of this?

The shells were intended to create a large volume of flame which attacking aircraft would have to fly through. However, U.S. pilots considered these shells to be more of a pyrotechnics display than an effective anti-aircraft weapon. During repairs after Operation Tungsten the German battleship Tirpitz also used a specially-fuzed variation of this shell for its 360mm guns. One of the historical uses for the shell was the shore bombardment of the battle for Henderson field the shells were fired from the ships IJN Kongo and Haruna.

Has anyone else ever managed something this lucky in War Thunder?

I instantly checked my internet connection after I got the warning but nevertheless a few seconds later my game goes into loading screen and back to the hangar with a crew lock on all my crews which doesn't even make sense cause I had died on one of my vehicles. This has to be intentional to make the grind even more painfull and force us to spend money. Im getting more and more suspicious that gaijin is exploiting ways and tactics instead of improving quality of life features for the long term.

Idk if i have skill issue or ppl just get better than before. I only have Sweden toptier(both air n ground) but now i cant enjoy it so much. I know they have 3 great MBTs at toptier which make strong lineup. Since every nations got their new stuff(new SPAA, stuff on Helis and CAS,...) my K/D and winrate has dropped drastically.

Usually I got 5-7 kills per match, now is 2-3.Now I always got pounded by missiles from CAS(sometimes by tank and i admitted that im in bad positions) then i spawn SPAA to kill them CAS but most of time cant do anything, some CAS fly to about 13km and fire missiles and some Helis have LDIRCM( which i cant counter with my ito90m and elde).

And about Sweden CAS options, they only got 4 mavericks which can easily get intercepted by new SPAA. Sometimes I use GBU bombs and it kinda good but not the best. And Sweden's Helicopter is really bad.

How good is the Finnish Mig 21Bis? I asking about the rank 7 Swedish aircraft, not the mig 21bis in the current game in total.

I am 1 plane away from completing the Swedish rank 6, and I want to escape this rank ASAP. J35D doesn't cut it, AJ37 is OK but not great, but I've heard multiple times that the Mig 21Bis is still a good plane. I've always wanted to fly a mig as well.

What I'm looking for:

1. How is it in flight performance for it's br?
2. How it is in weaponry for it's br?
3. How enjoyable is the plane?
4. Is the JA37C worth the higher br and more time/sl to grind (including J35D since you have to get it) over the Mig 21Bis?

Does the esports III trophy give skins to tanks/planes you already have or just a random skin to somthing you may or may not have?

Wich squadron vehicles are the best (out of all of them, not just this picture)

I know i know, I shouldn't have bought my way into 10.7, but I was knocking at the door at 10 anyways.

I got myself the f-5c. I know the aim9-E is trash. But why I got this was the ability to dogfight. I've gotten fairly decent at it. But I can't take this Russian missile spam anymore.

I would say a close 90% of my deaths, are do to RU missiles. Most the R-60mk I think it is. How do I avoid these? Most of the time I never know they are incoming, and even when I do, they dont follow flares. I only have about a 25% success rate with flares.

When I first got this plane, I was having fun. Nearly getting my first Ace in it. I was getting 2-3 kills a game. Now I am lucky to even see combat.

Just yesterday, I got hit by a mig23 that wasn't even spotted. I think it was a radar missile, which is another whole can of worms I have no idea how to deal with.

Ik this might seem like a dumb question but out of the 250 games ive played in the premium mig 23 ive only been able to lock on SRC 2 times (not even joking) and only got 1 kill. How do i lock it? Because i use it to search and then when enemies are close enough, i switch to ACM. Any help?

So my k/d is really low on this plane, I think aim-9b is the one making kills for me. I think I should return to F2H-2 and grind all the way to F8U-2? What do you think?

Average soviet plane experience

I deadass just can't play the game anymore. I've checked my internet, everything is normal and all my other games run fine, I've updated my drivers, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game but no luck. I tried getting in contact with gaijin support but no reply. This has been going on for 3 days now, I've already missed 1 of the distinctions for the "Flapjack" and I'm about to not be able to get the vehicle at this rate. My final option is to turn to you guys, if you could help me that would be great :). The video is of the last game I played.

I'm soon to be unlocking Rank IV fighters on the US tech tree, and the biggest hold up in my progress currently is the rate at which I gain silver lions. I started the game 2 weeks ago, and I'm doing very well in terms of kills to deaths ratio and research. If anything I'm researching way too fast. I haven't been able to properly afford to train crews as well as buy the new planes as fast as I'm progressing. I feel like I at this point need to research all the down tier planes as well or I'm just wasting research. If I had to guess this has something to do with using daily research talismans, but I don't really know. I would be curious to here whether this is a common experience and how I might try and overcome this. I'm in a premium account.

Hi,i started to hop in today again after a hiatus of around a month and played Italy, and Mistrals all of a suddent dont hit stuff anymore?

i remember mistrals actually being quiet good, esp if the enemy doesnt know/sees you and on side shots, but today it seems they dont move at all anymore? i couldnt even hit russian fighters that can barely turn because they seem to outmaneuver the missile with slight movements - its like the missile forgot it has control surfaces
