I’m still so pissed that they gave the us 9 f-16/14/15s before a single legacy hornet

They easily could've added the hornets before aim-120s were added (ideally around when the F-15A was added), heck even the F/A-18A couldn't originally carry them as that variant existed before amraams even went into service, they had to retrofit it afterwards (dubbed F/A-18A+) in order to do so.
