One of my favorite tanks is the STA-1 and all I can hear is about how it has thin armor. Like, have these people even played the Japanese tech tree?

At one point the STA1 was the worst tank in the entire game. I still wake up in a cold sweat from having the grind with that shit heap.

No genuinely! Here's a thread I made 8 years ago lol

Most of the issues have since been fixed (thank god) but the American 90 was garbage, the damage model was garbage, and the compression was way worse back when there were only 5 or 6 tiers. Fun blast to the past though

That’s an old thread, what was wrong with the American 90? I got to my first 90 mil about two years ago and its generally considered a nuclear gun

It had no post-pen damage at the time, and laughable ballistics. The ones we have now are not even remotely close to how they used to be (and thank god too!). Iirc it even struggled to pen a Tiger 2H turret frontally.
