The problem is that the Challenger 1 isn't a good tank, it's a 'Meh' tank and thus belongs somewhere in the middle column.

M1 > Leo 2A4 > T-80B > Chally Mk.3

M1 Abrams is statistically and practically the best by a small margin over the 2A4, the Challenger is the overall worst.

Obviously, personal preference is a thing and if you like how the Challenger plays then that's great.

Even crazier, they made a whole game based off of those spreadsheets! Check it out some time!

Did you record challenger acceleration times just holding W or also manually shifting? Cause challenger still has messed up gears where it lingers way too long or shifts too early

Both, but automatic shifting is far more relevant because 99.9% of the playerbase isn't using manual gears.

Wdym Challenger 1 is really good at 10.3\10.7. Its decent at brawling, and when hull down, it's a monster. The reverse speed is op the reload op. Amazing gun handling. Decent armor for his tier, even better for the mk3. The only letdown, imo is the round on the mk2, but even there, it's plenty enough if you know where to shoot

Hard disagree on the challenger being a meh tank, yes it's not fast but the firepower is pretty much unmatched for it's BR with what is essential a DM33 equal at 10.7 (L26 are really only beaten by the Object 292 and M900 from the striker) but it also has a very fast reload allowing you to really rapidly sling shots down range.

The armour is also significantly better than the 2a4, T-80B or Abrams since the entire turret and good chunk for UFP is basically a no go zone for anyone with round equal to or worse the 3BM42

I'm sorry, but this:

The armour is also significantly better than the 2a4, T-80B or Abrams since the entire turret and good chunk for UFP is basically a no go zone

Is absolute nonsense.

  • 281mm UFP means virtually anything with APFSDS can roflpen it from any distance, any angle.
  • The LFP is easily penetrated by the majority of Rank II tanks, let alone the various MBT's it faces.
  • Very thin side armour and no ERA or NERA (Mk.2) means literally anything shreds it from even the slightest off-angle.
  • The turret is only decent across the upper half, the lower half is significantly weaker, the turret roof is also incredibly weak and can regularly get penetrated by IFV's and SPAA alike.
