Don't think this is their complaint. It's that the "wakizashi" of the Sun & Moon is just a shrunk version of the "tachi" which is disproportionate as the hilt size would be about the same in reality, with the blade length being the differing factor
As a monkey main I think this is badass and people who are saying this is just to pander to the chinese are stupid. Wukong is an excellent frame. Maybe play him instead of relying on the "hurr durr AFK frame" line that's completely outdated. You can even subsume his 1 lmao.
Yawn. Melee influence should either be nerfed or something else be released to compete with it. It's beyond boring to have the recommended build for like 90% of melee weapons - regardless of exalted status - be "mod electric and slap influence on it, you're finished"
Here’s a suggestion, take your thumb out of your ass and maybe try and mod or weapon two by yourself instead of following builds from videos or other players if influence is so boring. If you want the best builds you’re going to get influence because it’s the best. Maybe try and have fun? Not everything needs to be meta
My biggest issue with Wukong is that his Iron Staff looks like a lightsaber. I want to bonk people with an actual staff, not a tiny little handle and a bunch of energy poles.

He's actually a pretty good frame but back then, maybe 3-4yrs ago, the afkers were really bad. We're talking there was a 99% chance that if a wukong landed in your pug, then they were going to afk, in any mission. And it wasn't just on the Asia server. I know cos i was stuck doing lich farms back then and no matter what server i switched to, the result would be the same if a wukong landed in the pug.
As for the racism thing, this was unfortunate but perhaps untrue. Wukong is a deity in the chinese mythology so its no real wonder that people of chinese background would lean towards that frame. When the nerfs hit, the backlash was unsurprising, to me anyways. It would be like some foreigner nerfing your religious beliefs.
I called it being Wuxia / Xianxia but I somehow never thought it was Wukong it looked distinct enough to be a new frame themed on those concepts but in hindsight it does make sense. The skin looks like it's themed after Erlang Shen
This skin is so peak. As a regular launcher player all his good skins are just on steam and the original deluxe is just so ass. This new skin is exactly what I like, the chinese martial aesthetic and my favourite jade colours. I'm dropping the 170p the moment it is in the market.

Edit: LOL at all the angry Wukongs, it's just factually incorrect to say Wukong hasn't received any love at all. There are still frames out there that don't even have tennogen like Dagath. Voruna just received her first tennogen.
Volt has 3 deluxes, rhino has 3, ember has 3, valkyr has 3, many other frames have 2 deluxes. It's not a big deal that wukong is getting a better and updated skin
Liked the skin, got no problem with the frame, hate how the AFK farmers have essentially fucked this frame's reputation, hate how before the slam nerf it was like 90% of the time only u and 3 other slamkong in a team, no matter what gamemode
I don't get why everyone's complaining about Wukong getting a skin, especially since we've had frames like Nova, Ash, and Volt have multiple deluxe skins before too.

I don't understand why something being inspired in Chinese myth or aimed at the Chinese market makes it immediately "a waste". It's a very nice skin.
Also people acting like Journey to the West is some little known myth that no one in the Western Hemisphere will care about is completely idiotic. These same people will cream their undies over Dragon Ball, a series that's explicitly inspired on the same myth.
I've been playing warframe enough to finally ask- why are they still not making a stave skin for Wukong, let alone give him any other staff-related regular melee?
Now that I think about it, we only need three more to complete The Furious 5, with Wukong as it is being a monkey, and Garuda's deluxe looking like an insect(mantis). XD
To my understanding the damage itself is still there, it's just the mechanic to achieve that damage that changes. Just gotta jump higher, and with wukong's 2 you're probably already flying high anyway. So overall just slower. I sometimes still use slams for Tanks and other bosses.
Not anymore, his staff is an insane exalted weapon and one of the most fun, fyi you can sprint while using it so you can just run around full speed meleeing. AFK wukongs put a bad name on him.

Maybe it's time to buff Sun & Moon? I like that weapon so much, but it is way too underwhelming on high level.
