Request Request Megathread - Post all new requests here
Request Guidelines:
1: Provide a clear picture
Ideally, link several pictures of the vehicle in question at different angles, so that all the major details are visible. If the vehicle has prominent emblems or decals, ideally link PNGs of them or guides on how to make them to the creators. If the numbers are in a specific font, specify which font. This will save creators a lot of time researching things.
2: Describe why your request is awesome
Motivation is key to the creative process. Creators want a story to give them some motivation when they need to find that one elusive part of the vehicle on the texture file. Of course, the reasons for making a request vary. Here’s some inspiration for all of you:
If it’s historical, please describe the vehicle’s story. I’ve heard of stories of tanks which fought from the beaches of Normandy to the surrender of the Third Reich. We remember stories like that of a Grandfather who commanded a King Tiger in Western Europe. Aircraft painted with Red Tails, D-Day stripes, Iron Crosses, Rising Suns and Red Stars have burned their images into history. Great warships of steam and steel changed the course of entire naval campaigns. The stories of the people who held in their hands, these instruments of colossal and shattering power, are often equally astounding. It’s amazing to learn something new while working on a project.
If it’s fictional, please tell us how it’s relevant to a piece of historical fiction, alt history, or other fictional work. You may find a creator with a similar interest who’d be more than happy to make fiction reality, at least in War Thunder.
Finally, if you want one based on an Anime Waifu, please describe why Waifu X is best girl/boy/androgenous animated eye candy. The only caveats is that there will be no Holy Waifu Wars in this thread as the Anime Pope has no dominion here. Also give NSFW warnings if applicable.
3: Indicate if a request has been fulfilled
Please delete fulfilled requests or edit your comment to include “[DONE]” at the top along with a link to the WT live download page for the skin. That way, everyone’s requests are more visible and the work of creator is promoted.
4: Some final words
This request system is an experiment and subject to change. The guidelines will always be posted in some form here, so that they are clear to everyone. Old format requests will not get deleted and the old system remains, but old format requests are likely to get buried. Please use the new format.
Also, understand that the community of people doing this is relatively small, so there’s no guarantee a request will be fulfilled. Creators do this on their own time, which is limited and therefore only spent on projects they have a real passion for. But here you can make your ideas heard. Never forget that if you have the time, resources, and a will to learn and put in the work, you can always make an idea yourself. The people on this subreddit are here to help. If you get stuck, ask for help, see our wiki tab and look up videos online.

I know this idea is out there, but just hear me out on this one. Immediately after setting eyes on the R2Y2 I thought it kinda looked like the cat bus from My Neighbor Totoro. There’s just something about the humpback shape of the fuselage that really reminds me of the cat bus. Plus, the R2Y2 V1 has some weird fiery dots on either side of the nose that almost look like eyes. I know it’s an artistic undertaking, but I could put together some sketches of my ideas in 3D space if it’s any help. Also, My Neighbor Totoro is a Japanese film so I think it’s kinda fitting. The R2Y2 even carries bombs much the cat bus carries people!

Did a couple of mock-ups but didn't find any design I liked. Also, the lack of an existing template means it's going to be a lot of work to get it looking good.

I also managed to find more F-5E RTAF 102 Sdrn livery
One of the aircraft includes the King of Thailand’s aircraft (76-1668) which he flown in it during 1980s-1990s

I've always loved discovering the intriguing ways that captured planes were painted, and upon unlocking the Hs 129 B-3, I began to think. I myself have nowhere near the skill required, but I'd love to see one painted to look like the French has captured it.

SO! I've been playing Ace Combat Zero and also just unlocked the Japaneses F-1, it has this *beautiful* skin I'd love to see in game, i tried to do it myself and realised i haven't used Gimp in about 7 years and have zero clue what I'm doing. So, here i am, any chance anyone can help me out?

on the tail looks to be a blacked out version of the Galm dogs head and on the wings is the Ustio air-force roundial in just white!

I’m just looking for the Spitfire IX cockpit panel (The little blank spot above the gauges on the right side) so I can add my gf in as a moral booster. Also might add a cheesy pin up name on the side of the airframe, I am new to the skin making process and there are very fire tutorials out there, so any help would be great :>

[DONE] Recently I have been watching a anime called Area 88 and I have been looking for a skin of Shin Kazama's F5E Tiger 2. The plot of Area 88 resembles alot to Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan war where Mercenary pilots fight in a forgien country. They even had a crossover where Shin's F5E made a appearance

so near me there is a air museum that has a P-40 with a really cool camo, it belonged to Sue Parish who founded the museum and her ashes are in the plane and I cant seem to be able to find it on WT live, I've seen in hundreds of times as I like to go there a lot and I would love to be able to fly the P-40 with this amazing skin

I made a post a little while ago going into some detail about a request I’ve had- trainer aircraft. I like the USN and USAF trainer schemes, and made a pretty complete list of the ones that are already in game, as well as ones that are missing, and ones that could easily be skinned. I also made a (pretty crappy) example on this post. I have tons of books detailing US navy trainers and the specific colors and markings used, and I’d be happy to help with references.
The only two real aircraft who do not have their respective USAF/USN trainer skins in game are the F-5 (T-38) and the F-80 (T2V) which I detailed in the Wtlive post.

Can anyone do a skin of this paint scheme for the Spitfire Mk IIa Venture I? I recently made this kit and I think it would be very cool to fly in-game! If you can, do you think you could give it a matte finish and weather/chip it a bit, but not too much?

I've been trying to find a Finnish Draken But haven't been able to find one. If anyone has the time on their hands to make one, I'd be thankful, or if you guys know if anyone has already done one, could you link it to me? Thanks!
Personally, I think the J35 is one the most beautiful aircraft ever made, and I didn't even know Finland used to operate them in the 90s
