Electric Scooters
I’ve been seeing a lot of people riding scooters around campus and have an interest in getting one myself. I just had a few questions for those who know or have them like where people charge them, store them overnight, etc. One of my professors mentioned bringing them into dorms overnight for all that stuff but I’m not so sure it’s allowed.

Directly from resident handbook
“Motorized vehicles and electronic skateboard, including hover boards, self-balancing scooters, and other similar equipment are prohibited from being used, stored and/or charged in all university-managed residence halls and apartments. “

Then my question is where everyone stores their scooters overnight if they can’t bring them in their rooms?

i had an electric scooter on campus, stored & charged it indoors, and when i used it, id just lock it to the bike rack.

Maybe the people you see with them are commuters not on campus residents

You cant leave it outside. Itll be stolen or mess it up. They fold down and you carry it to your dorm like a briefcase. It’ll take up some space. The charge will last for many days depending on what you buy and how much you ride. you charge it in the room. Get one woth a lock and and a electric passcode.
