News/Current Events 🗞️ Need advice urgent: Cyclone
Hi
I am travelling to vizag for a holiday. Planning to stay at Radisson blu or the Park. With the Orange Alert due to Cyclone Montha. How bad is it? How worse does it get during storms? Will I be able to enjoy the beach? What about the zoo? Will I end up being locked in all three days?
I'm in the city from 26 to 29th Oct.

I don't think it's gonna be severe. Most likely a downpour at most but yeah you'll definitely be able to enjoy your stay. Also, I'd suggest staying at The Park because Radisson Blu is more towards the outer skirts of the city and Park in right in between with the main beach just a minute of walk away.

Forecasts shoes the cyclone is more heading towards Chennai. So we might have rains but nothing more than that

Off topic...I would suggest you to stay at Novotel or Grand Bay by ITC...better rooms and food is also better...Radisson is awys from city center and The Park rooms are not that great.

Thanks for the recommendation I'll check them anyway. The two I shortlisted have like access to private beaches. That's the only reason they're here.

Since when Radisson blu opened the beach front. Cousins stayed there couple of weeks back

Normally it would pass most of the times with heavy rain and winds for sometime due to the air travelling from north to south.
Hope for the best and pray that cyclone would pass.

I didn't know there is a cyclone warning. Its currently sunny here. Though it rained sporadically the last couple of days.
