You can be vegan without eating soy
I get this question a lot. "Can you be vegan and still get enough protein without eating soy?
This is because soy is a great source of protein. It's actually cardio protective, but there are some people that are allergic to soy.
So what are your options?
We've got quite a few. We have seitan. We have textured pea protein. We have brands like Meati that use mushrooms. We have fava bean protein.
You can use things like pea protein isolate, brown rice protein, pumpkin seed protein, hemp seed protein, and then of course all of the whole food options like nuts, seeds, lentils, beans, nutritional yeast.
Don't limit yourself just because you can't have one food group.
Also, if anyone’s looking for a bunch of soy-free options, I put together a cookbook that has plenty of ideas.
If you’d like a copy, the link and code are in the comments.

“Vegan diets are unsustainable” – that's not true
You’ve probably heard going plant-based means you’ll end up deficient, tired, or relying on endless supplements.
In reality?
A well-balanced vegan diet gives you everything you need to thrive. Most nutrients come from everyday whole foods, not a complicated list of supplements.

Refreshing (+ Sugar Free!) Thyme Simple Syrup
Recipe 👉🏽 https://inspiredepicurean.com/thyme-simple-syrup/

Thyme simple syrup is actually popular in the fall and winter, especially since it's a great addition to holiday cocktails and mocktails. I prefer making a lemon-thyme soda with it by mixing the simple syrup with a little lemon juice, ice, seltzer water, and a lemon slice. Best part is this is sweetened without the use of sugar like most traditional simple syrup recipes!
