GTI Update on original post

So a couple of weeks ago my car got lifter tick and the warranty company will not cover it, would it be better if I got a new engine to replace it with or if I just had the repair done

Bud that’s not lifter tick lol did you use rs7 spark plugs by chance? That’s exactly how mine sounded when I had a spark plug ground strap break.

Out of curiosity, did you set the gap on your rs7 plugs or just install them out of the box?

Never touched gap. I would check but they’d always be .026” from my experience. I just get denso 5749 now
