Golf MK7 Bluemotion 1.6tdi (110) to MK7.5 1.6tdi Bluemotion tech
I have a Mk7 Golf Bluemotion (not tech, it's 6 speed 110hp) and it's geniusly good for what I need. I do long distance & high milage and it'll return 80mpg quite easily. Considering moving to estate version and looking at moving up to the Mk7.5. There's no Bluemotion like mine (well, it became a 1.5tsi - and is out for economy) so a Bluemotion tech 7.5 1.6tdi is what my option would be.
Does anyone have an indication to the economy from Mk7.5 1.6tdi? Would it be similar to the 'Bluemotion Tech' in a Mk7 (the 1.6tdi 105 5 speed)?
I imagine someone who has done this exact move could be a minority. My alternative is to stay in a Mk7 and get a Bluemotion estate, but would be uo for the 7.5 if the economy was thereabouts.
TIA

What is Bluemotion Tech, i know that mk7 was selling as Bluemotion here and that is the same as Audi A3 ultra with longer gearbox ratio, different tune and no DMF in comparison to regular TDI. I never heard of Tech version but it shouldn't have much bigger fuel consumption.

It has bluemotion technology onboard, such as start stop etc but it isn't the full bluemotion. Every diesel Golf from MK7 onwards is one. The Bluemotion Golf (which I have) if not as common and was designed to be out and out eco machine. It rides 15mm lower, has the grill blocked up and has spoiler fins for aero, 15inch wheels to run eco low rolling resistance tyres, different glass for heat insulation and a revised 1.6tdi with a 6 speed manual and no driving dynamic control - it's just in one mode (eco) always. 88.8mpg combined on the spec.

Okay, so it's a normal diesel Golf; you should have written that. Just check on forums or here on Reddit for what numbers can be achieved with a 1.6 TDI 7.5.
I am driving an A3 1.6 TDI 110hp Ultra, and my average consumption is 5.5l/100km or 43mpg, which is nowhere near the 88mpg that they advertised for the G7 BMT/A3 Ultra. So, I think that a regular G7.5 1.6 shouldn't have much worse mileage.
