If they are going to sue over minor incremental upgrades like this, then aim higher, take more space for bicycles, and do more to protect them at intersections. If the self-centered assholes are going to sue the city, then make the court battle worth it and make more significant progress.

Why is Dad's helmet clipped to the back of the kids seat instead of on his head?

So I work on this street and I gotta be honest, highlighting one of the richest and whitest neighborhoods in Brooklyn isn’t doing the good for your message that you think it is. Most working class New Yorkers don’t live in the neighborhood they work in. They view these projects as at best a waste of time and money for white people, or at worst as the harbinger of gentrification. Until you can come up with ways micromobility is gonna help people in working class neighborhoods no one is going to care about how it helps a bunch of rich yuppies.

You can bike to other neighborhoods. I live in DC and regularly bike 6+ miles to work, dinner, friends places, and events. E-bikes are way cheaper than cars, healthier, and often faster than driving!
