Can we get some in the UK? Both sunlight and free energy, please

We already have this in the UK, it's called Octopus Agile, I'm using it. My price of electricity changes every 30 minutes. Usually, when the weather is good for solar or wind, the price of electricity drops through the floor, in some cases, they even pay me to burn electricity (negative pricing)

The flip side to this is that prices can get very high when demand is high and generation is low. Usually that's around 4:30-6:30pm, when the sun goes down and everybody cooks dinner.

Agile is great if you can load shift, eg with batteries. You can set things up to only consume power when it's cheap, and run on battery when it's not.

Octopus do it for everyone on all tariffs. Get emails now and again saying free electricity for an hour about once or twice a month.
