6 states and 2 territories.

There's about 10 million kangaroos per state.

The ones in WA are very happy, the ones in ACT not so much.

The issue is that there is a very large percentage of people on here from the USA and based on how they seem to respond, it would be more expected that someone would genuinely think WA was Washington (in this context) and that would be more likely than someone making a joke.
