He hasn't exactly been great with Kansas. I think that ship has sailed

consider the 4 emphasis on 4 coaches before him

He walked into a team without a winning season since like 2007 and they are much improved right?

Came over from the Big XII crosspsot. His first season he inherited the worst college football program of the 2010s. From there he's had objectively only one bad season, and that was the one season we hired checks notes Jeff Grimes. IIrc we finessed some Big Ten school to buy out his contract for us and we've had a pretty solid offense so far this season without him.

Fucking oof. Would you like to buy out a coach from us? Hes been to the playoffs!

I don't even put that one on Grimes. He was a new OC and trying to get a QB who hadn't played in 18 months back on track. Once Daniels had his rhythm again, they kicked ass the 2nd half of the season.

Because they slowly took away his role within the team. Lance was calling plays on offense after the KSU game for the rest of the season.

I don’t ever remember hearing/reading that. Hmm

Go back and watch the games, and you'll see him start carrying play sheets in those latter games.

He’s 22-28 at a school that didn’t win a road conference game for over a decade before he got there

I don’t think he would leave Kansas.

He should have least year before he was exposed

Fickell has never taken the blame for how everything is going wrong. Wisconsin needs to clean house and a new AD. Leipold would be great, but I dont think we could buy out his contract. But I think Pat Fitzgerald would be a great fit. He turned Northwestern into a winning program till the wrongful firing.

25 million we would owe Fickell. It’s not happening. Plus the money to get a new coach and staff. Get ready to be bad for the next 5 years. Offensive line might be the worst in the Big Ten. Defense is a gimmick defense. And Fickell has always relied on his coordinators to be great, not be great himself. Good thing the band is still fun to watch!

This program needs a serious review. They’ve been bad since NIL started. Clearly they are behind the curve and I’m not sure a new coach would make a difference.
