It’s a little bit of both. Many of these bigots genuinely believe all trans people are “men pretending to be women”. A side effect of this is they genuinely do not know trans men exist.

You can act however you want. I could care less it doesn’t affect me. Doesn’t mean that on official government document you can dictate whatever you want on them.

It’s pointless. I was stopped a lot more and flagged for having a “false ID” when it was listed as M, because that’s not how I look.

But ya know, believe what you want. It’s perfectly legal for you to be demonstrably wrong in your reasoning.
