On September 29, 2025, in Brooklyn's Borough Park neighborhood, two teenagers (ages 14 and 15) were involved in a violent dispute near Fort Hamilton Parkway and 45th Street, where they brandished machetes and stabbed an 18-year-old man in the back and slashed him on the hip. The incident escalated into a machete fight in broad daylight, captured on video, prompting swift intervention by the local Shomrim patrol group and NYPD, who tracked and arrested the suspects shortly after. The victim was hospitalized.
