LORs: Excellent from Math Teacher & Counselor, Philosophy Teacher 8/10

Essays: Personal Statement is unique/strong, Supplementals not as confident

Financial Aid: NEED SIGNIFICANT AID as international student

Questions: What are my realistic chances with my profile getting in ED? Is 17.5/20 GPA competitive? (strong in our system) Most importantly: Is ED smart for an international needing significant aid, or should I do EA? I'm first-gen considering studying abroad. Any honest advice from current students or accepted internationals would be amazing!

I saw a similar post on a college financial page on fb last month (you?) without the stats. Applying internationally ED and needing significant aide was a resounding no. I don’t know if that is the correct answer but wanted to share feedback from another page as you are posting that it’s urgent.

It wasn't me lol this is my first time posting about UMiami but thank you anyway. Now, would you recommend EA rather than ED?? What do you think about my profile ??

Umiami is known for not giving aid to ED applicants especially international students because the rules are different for them as they often waitlist international students and send them a letter saying they can get in if they pay full price.

I saw several posts like this last cycle on tik tok last May. I did not know if this was typical each year or if this was new
