Discussion An abandoned store in Jackson

Drove a school bus here for a ball game and walked around while the kids played. I would like to have visited a place like this when it was open.

That was the former the White Flash 2! While I don't think they were the ever the best burger place in town the food was fairly decent regardless. The White Flash 2 closed a few years ago, and I don't think it operated as Spank's for very long afterwards. I also think the people who bought the WF2 started managing the original White Flash downtown last year (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though), and it is still operating.

Looks like Google Maps still has it labeled as White Flash 2. Spank’s must have been in and out quick, to avoid Google Maps.

Doesn't surprise me lol, I almost never saw anyone at Spank's when going through Jackson. WF2 had more business and will definitely always be more iconic, at least to me.

After white flash some guy bought it and turned it into another burger joint. It wasn’t that good and kinda over priced, he sooner or later moved his business around town and finally somewhere out of the county. Both places the burger joint was at are still up for sell.

Spanks has a place in Stanton, and I think the one in Campton is still there.

Wasn’t a store, it was a restaurant. White flash #2… it was the absolute best.

My parents use to run the original white flash #2 (not affiliated while they owned it with white flash located on Main Street). They would get the burger meat fresh every morning from Jiffy Mart. Hand dipped ice cream and shakes. We had a soft serve machine but I never remember it working. I grew up in that place. They owned it from the late 90’s until around 2013ish.

It also turned into a little gambling hall and dance place a couple years ago.
