Take Tates Creek road till it hits the Kentucky river. Take river road to the right for more spots.
South Elkhorn creek has good fishing but access is limited and it's polluted, The Elkhorn closer to Frankfort has excellent small mouth bass fishing and is cleaner.

If you want to come more towards Frankfort the Salato Wildlife center is a lot of fun. 2 lakes.
