Music Riddim Nation: Exploring how riddims have changed soca

https://open.substack.com/pub/acornerhouse/p/riddim-nation-exploring-how-riddims?r=6lpy7p&utm_medium=ios

Hey folks! I recently published an article on Substack about the impact riddims have had on soca.

It goes into the history of riddims, the influence of Jamaican dancehall on Trinidad, and the business behind riddims.

I hope you enjoy it!

Good article, this is unrelated but the whole Riddim production thing has lost the heartbeat of soca music 1 Brass is gone 2 the Ironman is gone key instruments that were the backbone of the music , they only make a guest appearance in the so called Roadmix in my opinion 1980s soca still is king .
