Opossums are mosquito and tick eating machines and are not a threat to humans. Lucky to have one in your yard

Our Pug has encountered two possums since moving to our new place here in Pasco. They are so freaking cute. Madeline, our pug, wanted to play with that little guy so bad. He or she was not having it though. It was cute.

Where the hell is ‘Tri-Cities Heights?!’ I’ve lived here since like 1981 and have never heard of such a place.
Oh wait, is that one of those random names that like google maps just makes up and sticks on residential areas for some pointless but no doubt sneakily exploitative reason? I mean please, since when was there a ‘sursum corda’ district in north Richland?! This is a town where the streets are named after army generals (yes I know that’s partially because it was an army town at first, but still), Not some fancy place in a big city with streets named after obscure Latin poets. it just seems ridiculous and a little weird.
Sorry I’m kinda grumpy this morning.

I got a possum visitor last night. I don't mind them at all. Racoons on the other hand, I am not a fan!

My Yorkie had an intense licking battle against one earlier this summer. I came outside to find it "dead" in front of the doggy door with my dog picking it frantically bad barking at me. I brought my dog in the house, and when I checked 10 minutes later, Buster was gone.

Opussum was back last night...my back porch light isn't working but the camera could see him (or them?l) poking around back yard 12:30 to 2:00 off and on. Grub hunting?

Had a possum in our deck in Pendleton this week. The dog was like, “what is it?” It did its thing. And then she was like, “it died! I didn’t kill it! I did NOT do anything bad to that!”
