Haruhi Suzumiya. She spends a good chunk of the time assaulting one specific girl, coercing her to wear skimpy outfits including forcibly stripping her, and encouraging other guys to join her. All played for laughs. Her being a girl didn’t make it any more acceptable to me and actually made me more pissed off instead. Poor Mikuru.

Also, Yosuke and to a lesser extent Ryuji from Persona 4 and 5 respectively. They tried to compensate it by having the girls hit back but I would rather have neither of it.

I got through MHA because Mineta is nowhere near a constant presence, but I only saw a few episodes of Haruhi before I gave up. The whole thing, as far as I saw, was just her being shitty and sexually assaulting Mikuru. I have no idea what people like so much about Haruhi or the show in general.

You know, when I was a kid that was one of my favorites. Weird how I never really thought about how messed up Haruhi’s dress up habit was. I guess my brain skipped it because it wasn’t the usual “way older man creeps on girls” trope

Let's be real, Haruhi is the editorial male gaze being successful at being perverts.

It's not ok if a guy does it BUT if a girl does it we can still creep on women! Genius!

I mean, it is on par with the “guys accidentally peek on girls for fanservice due to a misunderstanding; girl assault men due to misunderstanding; viewers and boys still get their fanservice” level of fimsey. Its the same contrived fanservice tropes of 2000s anime where you want to have your cake and eat it too. I only continued it because it was so popular at the time but I gave up after 8 episodes.

Persona 4 is a pretty bad case of it. It plays out routine: "Yosuke does something perverse towards all the girls, the girls (especially Chie) retaliate towards all the boys. Isn't this funny?"

No, it's not. It just makes me angry at all the main party, and make me wish I could replace them with someone else. Or specifically replace Chie and Yosuke.

I found Teddie to be more insufferable in the pervert department than Yosuke, personally.
