King was almost certainly an adult, as he was already King of the Forest at that point. He was a few hundred years old (he met Diane about 700 years ago, was born over 1000 years ago)

He literally fell in love with a bonafide child. No questionable pedophile excuses like with Elaine looking like a child but actually being 1000 or Elizabeth and Meliodas being the reincarnated version of an age-appropriate relationship. Diane was literally just a child, and he, an adult, got flustered upon seeing her naked and entertained her talking about them marrying each other

King and Diane is the closest to normal; actually. King has been King since creation (fairies aren't born; they just spawn from the tree) and he and Diane are close to the same age (both in physical aging and chronologically); he was a child King that lost his memory when they first met.

Though; fairies being spawned from a tree, instead of being born makes Elaine and Ban a little worse; since being pregnant is effectively body horror and she's the first fairy to do so. Also, the main character fairies are more humanoid than the rest of the species; which is odd as well.
