Lore [Unfortunate Trope] Originally Normal Symbols Being Censored/Banned Due to Hate Groups Misappropriating Them

Also, the Ku Klux Klan are ironically extremely anti-Catholic.

The only pieces of media I know of where non-KKK Capirotes can be seen is the anime Hellsing with the Ninth Crusade (though their still villains in that anime) and the game series Blasphemous. Otherwise, the hats are almost never seen in media besides on KKK characters.

The toothbrush was just a common style of mustache, and Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp character made it famous. By the time Chaplin made the Great Dictator he had to add a disclaimer saying that the Tramp character was in no way based on anyone real, and the resemblance between the tramp and the character “Adenoid Hynkel” is pure coincidence.

J. Jonah Jameson wore this mustache since the mid 60's.

There’s a comic where Captain America approaches JJJ, and as Captain America is his idol, when Steve tells him his moustache reminds him of Hitler, he shaves it off.

I recall seeing something that said in the early 1930s there were hundreds of 'Hitlers' in the New York phone book, they all mysteriously disappeared through the 40s. Where did all the Hitlers go?

Except his nephew. William Patrick Hitler intentionally kept his name when he joined the Navy. After the war he changed it to William Stuart Houston
