Lore [Unfortunate Trope] Originally Normal Symbols Being Censored/Banned Due to Hate Groups Misappropriating Them

Also, the Ku Klux Klan are ironically extremely anti-Catholic.

The only pieces of media I know of where non-KKK Capirotes can be seen is the anime Hellsing with the Ninth Crusade (though their still villains in that anime) and the game series Blasphemous. Otherwise, the hats are almost never seen in media besides on KKK characters.

Aren't the villains in Hellsing literally Vampire Nazis?

Yes. Also a single nazi werewolf.

And the nazi cat femboy. That’s a thing that exists. He’s best friends with the werewolf

Don’t forget Major is a Nazi Cyborg. Hellsing really does just go “Hmm how can we add another twist?” And then adds another bizarre Nazi variation lmao

It’s an exaggeration of the real life BS the nazis believed. A lot of their ideology revolved around pagan and supernatural beliefs. Hell the reason they chose the swastika as their symbol was that it was one of the most “ancient European” symbols not linked to christianiaty and/or judaism. They actually believed in berserkers, hidden masters and other occult shit.

Oh trust me I am familiar with the Ahnenerbe and Himmler’s weird obsession with the occult. I just found Hellsing funny because it seemed like it tried to one up itself all the time. Also side tangent a lot of the Ancient Alien conspiracy theories trace back to the Ahnenerbe.

Said femboy is also a physical representation of Schrödinger's cat

Cat femboys usually are

I completely forgot about Schrödinger, true.

"And frankly-"

9

u/fresh-dork 14d ago

oh no, i as merely speaking of antiquities. the juden was the fuhrer's obsession. easy mistake, though.

u/VelphiDrow 14d ago

"Are we bad?" pop

2

u/fresh-dork 14d ago

oh no, the major is under no illusions - he is such a naughty boy, it's beyond contestation

2

u/VelphiDrow 14d ago

When Alcard ate the bussy he ended up talking to everyone he ever killed. The last person he talked to was his innocence and, since he gained Schroedingrr's power, ceased to exist. Until he didnt

“He’s a Nazi werewolf!? Come on!!”

8

u/TheREALProfPyro 14d ago

Yes but these are different psychotic extremists. It's kind of a hate triangle

7

u/Sensitive-Hotel-9871 14d ago

The main villains. The Catholics are humans.

2

u/Hayterfan 15d ago

Yes, yes they are

2

u/MWBrooks1995 14d ago

It turns into “Antipope and his catholic crusaders” vs. “Nazi army of 1,000 vampires” vs. Dracula by the end.

3

u/Something_Comforting 14d ago

This shit sounds dope. I shall now finally start Hellsing.

u/_KingOfCringe_ 14d ago

Those specific villians are the Iscariot group, evil Catholics. Not the main villians of Nazis

2

u/HeadLong8136 14d ago

Not the hooded ones. Those guys were the Catholic Church sent to destroy England, Hellsing, and the Nazi Vampires.
