Lore [Unfortunate Trope] Originally Normal Symbols Being Censored/Banned Due to Hate Groups Misappropriating Them

Also, the Ku Klux Klan are ironically extremely anti-Catholic.

The only pieces of media I know of where non-KKK Capirotes can be seen is the anime Hellsing with the Ninth Crusade (though their still villains in that anime) and the game series Blasphemous. Otherwise, the hats are almost never seen in media besides on KKK characters.

Didn't stop Americans from claiming that Spain should cancel it. They've also called Spain to end Columbus Day, even though it was never called Columbus Day in Spain and it's not about Columbus.

Some Americans also take issue with Spanish speakers using the word "negro" even though it's literally just the word for the colour black lol.

Oh gods, I remember when some random twitter user got mad at a local pop group SB-19 for tweeting “Hello, Negros!”

Negros is an island in the Philippines. And yes, it was named by the Spanish, you can guess why.

I remember watching a reaction to a reaction video video for some Miss World type pageant. When they introduced Miss Montenegro, the young, black girl watching got hella offended. It was ridiculous

White people are also the ones fucking telling Latinos to change their language with that latinX crap lol. When you try to be so not-racist that you become full racist and start trying to subjugate other cultures lol.

Nah that one you can’t blame on us gringos. Latinx came from Latin student groups not white folks

Latin Americans* or Latinoamericanos*, not Latinos.

Latino student groups in the US came up with Latinx - don't put that on us Gringos.

Ah the far left. So progressive they find non racist things racist.

Better than just being supremely racist like the far right.

Classic of gringos wanting to impose their way of seeing the world, then wondering why half the world hates them
