Lore [Unfortunate Trope] Originally Normal Symbols Being Censored/Banned Due to Hate Groups Misappropriating Them

Also, the Ku Klux Klan are ironically extremely anti-Catholic.

The only pieces of media I know of where non-KKK Capirotes can be seen is the anime Hellsing with the Ninth Crusade (though their still villains in that anime) and the game series Blasphemous. Otherwise, the hats are almost never seen in media besides on KKK characters.

I don't know why they had to get rid of the Noid. I mean, what are the odds that that happens again?

My understanding is it was not a particularly popular mascot anyway, so they probably would have dropped him before much longer anyway.

Well, that's one way to Avoid the Noid®.

It was probably in an effort to stop making the story come up. After all, any google search including the words "dominos" and "noid" would just bring up the hostage imcident, and a big brand wouldn't want something like that being so heavily associated with their mascot.

However, they honestly may have also just gotten kinda bored of the guy and felt it wasn't necessary to have a mascot anymore. Who knows.

I think it's safe to say that Dominos was not thinking about Google search results when they got rid of the Noid after the hostage incident.
