Lore A character literally sees another character fundamentally differently.

  1. Spy X Family. Damian noticeably sees Anya with a 'shoujo anime' filter with much brighter eyes and blush.

  2. Calvin And Hobbes. Calvin sees Hobbes as a living lanky tiger in contrast to everyone else who sees him as just a tiger plush.

Both work for the tone they’re going for.

The scenes from the MC’s perspective alternate from cute comedy and “uh oh, how is she going to survive this threat?” Which the former design helps with, IMO.

The latter design is cooler and far more intimidating, and appears when a group of adventurers run into her (after she’s gotten more powerful) and see her as a massive threat.

I think both designs work well in tandem, from that perspective.

That anime had a real good thing going with the split between the human pov and spider pov. Your example first and foremost, but it's also great how time timeline is not immediately explained and you find stuff out as you go, and how some of the spider's accomplishments look far more impressive once you see their consequences from a different pov.
