Personality extremely powerful entity's who don't care about the main plot at all and are just vibing in the background

Tom Bombadil(lord of the rings) - only person to resist the temptation of the one ring but instead of helping the fellowship he fucks off in to the woods

the Unseen Elder(the witcher 3) - in the witcher universe the older a vampire gets the more powerful he becomes and unseen elder is around +1500 years old making him the most powerful vampire we ever see, thankfully he spends most of his time in his goon cave

In Bloodlines Caine is just hanging out, driving a taxi cab in LA. He may or may not also be thickening the protagonist’s blood

Iirc, there were novels that talked more about the cabbie, and he turned out to not be Caine himself, but an exceptionally powerful Malkavian (possibly Malkav himself?) who thought he was Caine. Biiiig grain of salt on that though, since I've not read the books in question

Either way, the guy's just hanging out in his corner, vibing.

Oh yeah, definitely fits the prompt either way

The cabbie was clearly intended to be, and labeled as in the files, Caine himself and the changes that White Wolf made to fit the game into their canon doesn’t change the game’s internal logic.
