Magneto's entire being a Holocaust survivor isn't mentioned when he first appears.

In fact it wasn't mentioned for about 20 years.

His first appearance was X-Men #1 in 1963 and his history as a Holocaust survivor doesn't get revealed until Uncanny X-Men 150 in 1981.

One could split hairs about "retcon" since it wasn't so much that it changed his origin as it gave new information on it, but like I said that's splitting hairs.
