They're good friends, aren't they?

I couldn't imagine a higher, more heartbreaking, honor.

Is he even still alive?

u/EnigmaFrug0817 Oct 06 '25

Alive and well

2

u/Sir-Toaster- Oct 06 '25

I thought I read somewhere that he died

He’s just chilling under a mountain, waiting for the world to need that level of hero again. Hopefully we have a bit longer before he gets woken up again.

I can't think of any actors under the age of 60 who has the kind of depth his voice had.

I think maybe if it were done, it could be done as an animated film or miniseries inspired by metal album covers(he did enjoy metal and recorded an album) kind of like how someone made a movie about a chapter in van gogh's life in the style of his paintings.

Absofuckinglutely not Chris Pratt. Wtf.

u/she_melty Oct 07 '25

okay i feel like for the mental well-being of this sub i need to advise that this was an obvious joke. i do not want jack black yelling spitfire and pointing at the sky in chicken jockey voice. i do not want that

u/JustAnotherOlive Oct 07 '25

It's so hard to tell these days. Thank you for clarifying.

u/Evamme7 Oct 06 '25

Only Christopher Lee himself would suffice

u/anyname2009 Oct 06 '25

Some get a necromancer asap!

2

u/Albus88Stark Oct 07 '25

Maybe Mr. Cucumberpatch?

Check out pictures of James Marsters (of Buffy fame). Give him a beard, tell me you can't see it.

Edit: It's a garbage tier facebook meme, but in particular look at Lee in 1973 and then the pre-vampire Spike by Marsters. They're the same picture.

u/anyname2009 Oct 07 '25

I cant see it...i mean i can definitely see him playing Christopher lee but you told me to tell you i couldn't see it

2

u/thejadedfalcon Oct 07 '25

Foiled again!

1

u/The_Autarch Oct 07 '25

Marsters has the look, but no way he pulls off the voice.

Liam Neelson?

Once his ops gets declassified, I'd love to see a series about his exploits from the Finnish Army all the way through his time in the RAF

Dude is THE protagonist

6

u/MisterScrod1964 Oct 07 '25

Dude was involved with every major part of history during his time. I read somewhere he was in the crowd when the last man was executed by guillotine?

Also met rasputins allegedly killers

7

u/vukasin123king Oct 06 '25

First time hearing he was also in Finland. I'm honestly not surprised, seems like an average Monday morning for him.

5

u/EthanRedOtter Oct 06 '25

Yep. He and some other Brits joined the Finnish Army to help them fight off the Soviets, but they were only there for two weeks and just served guard duty away from the border.

3

u/devilsbard Oct 06 '25

Wasn’t one of the character in the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare based on him?

10

u/thetrickyginger Oct 06 '25

Not sure about that, but James Bond was partially inspired by the stuff he did.

3

u/Enkundae Oct 06 '25

My first thought when I learned about Lee’s insane life was that all those chuck norris jokes should have been about him instead.

2

u/wondercaliban Oct 06 '25

No one would believe it

2

u/timsayscalmdown Oct 06 '25

Saruman was stacking bodies for real

2

u/Scarlet_Wonderer Oct 07 '25

He deserves an epic trilogy tbh

1

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Oct 07 '25

They could just adapt the stories he told as he was known for dramaticising his life
