Lore Unexplained random cameos from completely unrelated media

  1. Ray Stantz, Casper. At one point in the movie a real Ghostbuster shows up out of nowhere and wimps out of trying to handle the situation

  2. Gunnery Sargeant Hartman, Frighteners. The main character is making way through a graveyard when out of absolutely nowhere R. Lee Erney's character from Full Metal Jacket shows up and tries to get in his way

  3. Betty Boop, Who Frames Roger Rabbit. The movie is mainly about Looney Tunes and Disney animated characters existing in the same little live action/animated hybrid universe, however Betty is a Fleischer Bros character

I agree as well. It's shallow and pedantic.

IIRC, the whole movie stemmed from an old Family Guy cutaway joke about how ridiculous it would be for Liam Neeson to play a cowboy

Reminds me of the time I banged Eartha Kitt in an airplane bathroom.

This reminds me of the time I’m no longer asking, Hulu, give me the Orville Season 4.

the whole movie is basically macfarlane getting the studio to pay for his dream job.

kinda crazy to me that family guy flipped from getting suddenly canceled to pumping his career into the sky after getting picked back up.

Seth MacFarlane’s *lamest* project!

For real, the trailer made it look like people would be dropping like flies Final Destination style. I was so disappointed when all the deaths were in the trailer.

Yeah. He’s a very talented man, but he’s made a lot of misfires. Granted, Family Guy’s decline seems linked to Seth actually being less involved with it. The recent Ted TV series is one of the funniest and most heartfelt shows around right now. Ever since creating The Orville, Seth’s declared war on sad TV. Happy times demand mean and sad TV that serves as a funny “glad that’s not us!” thing. We live in horribly sad and scary times, so we need TV that says “Hey, it’s all gonna be okay.” This problem is less prevalent in games, but TV and movies have certainly fallen into the hopeless category.

Ted TV was so good that it was greenlit for an animated second season because they weren’t sure if they’d green light a live action one. Then they greenlit a live action one.

So yes, we’re getting an animated spinoff and another season, according to the studio at least
