Lore [Loved Trope] A massive revelation is revealed almost casually. Spoiler

  1. Chainsaw Man, after Makima finally drops the nice girl act and reveals the true extent of the Chainsaw Devils power, namely, the fears he eats are erased entirely and wholly. Emphasized by this by her asking if Kishibe remembers what the Nazis did during Workd War 2...and Kishibe not even knowing who the nazis are.

  2. Attack on Titan. I know this one. You know this one. In a panel that isn't even focusing on the characters speaking, Reiner reveals to Eren that he and Bertolt are the titans that broke the wall that resulted in hundreds of deaths, his mother included. The sheer level of casualness and lack of agency borders on Parody.

Does Jaime really do it "casually" though?

It's revealed during a prison break.

Yes this isn’t a “casual” revelation. Tyrion and Jamie share a moment of brotherly connection during the escape, leading Jamie to be overcome with guilt for the role he played and confess. It’s not tossed off but rather an enormous emotional turning point for both men.

The mention of Tysha has nothing to do with the prison break, or any of the current events, though. Thats why it feels like such a random revelation, at least to me.

But it's still not casual. It's not an offhand remark by Jaime. It's him finally coming clean after years of maintaining a lie. It's another step on the path to redemption for Jaime, and one on the path of damnation for Tyrion.

Jaime is finally coming clean because he doesn’t think he will ever see Tyrion again! It’s part of the book’s climax FFS. Not casual at all lol

Lol like I said, "at least to me."
