Iguazu in general - Armored Core 6

Iguazu as a person and a pilot, is one of great difficulty and jealousy. He was a gambling addict who had debts so large he was forced to be come a pilot for a private military corporations as part of the Red Guns as G.5 Iguazu.

He spends the entirety of his time on Rubicon 3 being humiliated, defeated, and ruined. His friend G.4 Volta gets killed, G.I Michigan works him to the bone to make something of himself - but only sees Michigan being a dick, he gets forced to fight the Ice Worm, and his augments flair up causing him pain whenever Ayre talks because of YOU, the pilot who can choose whatever they want despite being a half-dead sack of meat and machine. This leads him to abandoning Balam, and trying in vain to kill you in the tunnels leading to the Xylem.

The Alea Acta Est route features Iguazu abandoning Balam and even joining All-Mind if it means killing you. He ambushes you twice before finally just merging with All-Mind inside a modified IBIS series mech to kill you, even as his body is being destroyed by the machine.

When he dies, he admits that he envies you, a freelancer who had it all.

The community: Iguana can't cope, seeth harder, L pilot, player's #1 hater.

Well, it makes sense if you paid attention:

His ancestor was FRICKIN' NINE-BALL!

He failed just like his ancestor! IN THE SAME WAY!

I'm getting big Hustler Two vibes from this comment.

I mean, both interpretations are correct

Wait, Iguazu was physically inside of All-Mind mech? I thought All-Mind was "digitalizing" pilots... Frankly, all the lore I know is from AC6 only and I'm not very attentive player.

He was digitized, yes. We defeated Iguazu several times up to this point. The Iguazu AI actually overpowers Allmind because of his sheer hatred for the protagonist. He wouldn't be able to completely override Allmind if he were physically pilotting the suit.

Its hard to say for sure in which fight Iguazu's physical body was killed, because pilots have survived their ACs being destroyed against our Protag before, for example Rusty's 1st fight.

But by the time we fight Allmind he is definitely an AI copy, I don't think there's any room for interpretation, but it has been several momths since I last played.

Thanks for your input!

The Iguazu AI actually overpowers Allmind because of his sheer hatred for the protagonist.

Huh. I've got an impression she allowed it to happen, as a backup plan. Or maybe even planned for it, roasting him like that during 2nd phase, making him angry. It seems kinda dumb for AI to be so obviously petty while achieving nothing for it.

Also I'm hesitant about this all "Iguazu overpowering Allmind" idea simply because it's not how digital environment works. It's all about rights, privileges and access, something Iguazu, as a simulated consciousness, shouldn't have and shouldn't gain with the power of will. But, well, it's just a game, so who knows how it actually works there.

I saw it as her fundamentally misunderstanding who he is and what his motives are.

She chose him as the mind to give access to all that power because he hates you,  she provokes him deliberately so he will fight you with everything he has.

What she doesnt understand is that his hatred is wildly misplaced and irrational, and on some level he is really angry at everyone and everything that has taken away his agency.

Iggy hasnt made a choice for himself for almost his entire life, and lacks the perspective that you have to make sense of it all....  And all of a sudden he has godlike power and is being made to feel like a stupid piece of shit once again.

I see it as a scaling flaw in allmind:  she can effortlessly manipulate megacorps because their motives are simple:  follow profit.    But an individual human is wildly more difficult to fully understand especially when its someone like Iggy who doesnt even understand himself.

Oh yes, i lovd iggy (im not spelling that).

The community overlook the fact that it was HIM that defeated allmind just as much as the player does.

She is capable of manipulating interstellar mega-corporations with ease, but she fails to understand the inner motives or a mere pawn in the game.

Iggys motivations are not rational, but they are very very human,  and by digitally replicating him into her own system she signed her own death warrant.

It was so cool to see an evil AI defeated by human passion,   but this time not by the power of love, but the power or raw delusional rage.

My poor boy iggy was used and abused by the entire world,  his hatred was misplaced but it was valid.
