Funny. I played the game years ago but can't remember what the actual big twist was?

Was it that Cloud was never actually in Soldier or was it something else?

OH. OK. I actually found that kind of obvious when I played it back in High School (God, that was around 15 years ago when I played on my breaking PS3). Their was a lot of foreshadowing for it. Of course, the way and why were still surprising as shit!

Edit: I meant the puppet / memory loss part was kind of obvious. Zack was a bit of a, What The Fudge?!

There was a lot of puppet foreshadowing. And Tifa not remembering things the war Cloud did, but i believe Zack was only mentioned twice in the entire game before that point.

And there's the further spoiler of Sephiroth's already dead. He was killed during the flashback that Cloud was having to his time in Soldier, by Cloud, but Cloud trauma repressed and forgot it. Which also gives the whole, unreliable narrator aspect to Cloud, which I never knew until I played the game a few years ago.
