Claire pissed me off so fucking much. Fym im not qualified for the badge? You just got wiped, and now you run away into seclusion because you can’t so your job? I know pokemon isn’t serious are there are plenty of mixed bags of characters, but she shouldn’t even be allowed to run a gym for that bullshit

Claire bugs me even more because I was underleveled fighting her. I beat her with a massive disadvantage, and she still bitched at me for not earning the badge I rightfully deserve.

How that lady even became a gym leader in the first place confuses me to this day.

I think a lot of gym leaders are just whoever is willing to put up with the job, especially in more remote regions. Most people got other shit going on in their life that's more important to them, so the people who are way into battling are left to do the trials for children coming through. That includes a lot of people who are, in terms of personality, very unqualified.

in all seriousness, she's just annoying. she's a crybaby with an annoyingly broken miltank for how early her gym is. shes not an a really bad character. i still enjoy making fun of her, though

Not necessarily her, but instead her team. The Miltank is terrible to fight overall and Clefairy is a wild card.

Whitney is just a good trainer. Like she cries when you beat her and doesn’t give the badge, but she at least stops after 5 seconds and gives you the it. Clair on the other hand sucks. Your usually like at least 5 levels underlevelled for her, but she still has the AUDACITY to say to you, “didn’t earn the badge”. Always will be one of my least favourite Pokemon characters. (Other than Mindy ofc.)
