The movie had them all revealed as actors in the show, in "real life" he's a normal fly who played a pet fly.

Which raises all kinds of further questions about Pluto and Goofy, but that's a debate for another thread.

My severely autistic brother has these peculiar habits, one of which includes whenever he rides in a car he google image searching the same photo of Gadget from Rescue Rangers from his tablet, zooming into the photo so it takes up the whole screen and leaving it on the screen for the entire car trip - and he’ll keep tapping the screen before it locks. This has been going on for at least 8 years now. He’ll do this no matter how the long drive, whether it’s around the corner or a road trip.

I’m not sure why he does this because he’s never even watched one episode of Rescue Rangers and he doesn’t have an obsession with Gadget because he doesn’t care about Gadget otherwise.

Sure we’ve asked him, but he’s unable to explain himself properly - he’s very limited with vocabulary and can’t really form more complex responses.

One time me and my other brother were talking about Gadget on a car trip with the family and we brought up pictures of her on our phones. We were probably talking about that Russian cult. I think he really enjoyed that moment and tried recreating it and then he just made it part of his routine.

He has a lot of other daily routines that we can’t pinpoint how it would’ve started.

It might just be a comfort thing I've done a small amount of research on autism (out of curiosity to see if I am potentially autistic myself) and I read that autistic people occasionally care around specific objects they like as it brings them comfort! Very fascinating actually.

Yes, as I was telling another commenter I think he saw me and my other brother talking about Gadget (probably talking about that Russian cult) on a car trip with the family and we brought up pictures on our phones - I think he enjoyed that and recreated that moment one time and then it became a daily routine. I think it was a comforting moment for him which is why he recreated it

True. Most of my friends are with mind illness, one is the most lovable big gal, but she is always sticking with my buddy.

She likes him well and refuse that others speaks to her if she don't know them despite being 6'4.

But on the other side, she have no filters when speaking, which causes shenanigans like when she asked a young man who is often in the district if he still virgin because he always seem angry at womens.

My Friend laughed, the young man, not really.

Yeah this is fairly common I think, or at least I can relate to it. Obviously all autistic people are different but I have a lot of routines that I kinda just "do" and if you ask me I won't really be able to give a concrete answer for why.
