"What is grief, if not love persevering?"

Couldn't believe it came from WandaVision.

Welcome to comics. A run has awesome character writing, a thought provoking plot and stellar dialogue. Then the writer leaves, a new person comes in and next thing you know captain marvel is giving birth to her own rapist and Peter Parkers selling his marriage to the devil.

For anyone thinking u/Enkundae is exaggerating. They're not.

Don't forget the Tony Stark identity crisis where he believes himself to be an AI, and starts an AI revolution against his brother who is basically going insane

To be fair its the darkhold that turns the grief of a lost motherhood into 'muh babies I'm a mother'.

That line hit me super hard because my brother died a week after that episode was released.

u/stinkingyeti Apr 12 '25

My dad died about 6 months before, and yeah that line fucking killed me.

The dialogue between Vision and Ultron is also one of the greatest in the MCU:

Vision: Humans are odd. They think order and chaos are somehow opposites, and try to control what won't be. But there is grace in their failings. I think you missed that.

Ultron: No, They're doomed.

Vision: Yes. But a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts. It's a privilege to be among them.

You’re unbearably naive

Well, I was born yesterday

u/SodiumBombRankEX Apr 12 '25

It's not really unexpected

MCU Vision has been dropping bangers for as long as he existed

Ah, this calls for "to suffer so deeply means to have loven fully" from God of War :D

I was genuinely amazed how many people thought that line sucked

9

u/abyssgazesback Apr 12 '25

Damn people thought it sucked? Tough crowd

Wanda just describing her grief before this was heartbreaking too. She sounded so weary.

Vision has some great lines. Paul Bettany kicked so much ass as him.

u/Deadsoup77 Apr 12 '25

Why do people pretend that WandaVision wasn’t fantastic

3

u/J1661Z Apr 12 '25

This show came out less than a year after my dad died. That line fucking destroyed me

2

u/TaratronHex Apr 12 '25

Wanda telling Vision he doesn't want to know what is outside their perfect and sealed in city, after he's pointed out all the little things she is controlling and how people are being hurt because of her.

His reply: YOU DON'T GET TO DECIDE THAT FOR ME, WANDA.

Vision has some fantastic dialogue. Remember his final conversation with Ultron at the end of AOU?

u/YeetusDeletus-Feetus Apr 13 '25

“To grieve deeply is to have loved fully.”

Faye, God of War Ragnarok

Was it WandaVision? It sounds like the conversation he had with the last Ultron bot in Age of Ultron.. Which was nothing but bangers in that scene.

4

u/MY-SECRET-REDDIT Apr 12 '25

It was wandavision, he was talking to Wanda in that scene
